5 Steps to Snap Out of a Bad Mood Fast
Among the most searched terms on Google you're certain to find these keywords: 'how to get out of a bad mood fast', and for good reason. Scientists, psychologists, and clergymen/women alike have all confirmed time and time again that negative energy is one of the most all-consuming forces known to man. It's proven to be the leading cause of all stress-related illnesses in our society leaving, in its wake, an array of unfavorable diseases ranging from depression and addiction to unhealthy relationships and even death. It would seem there is no hope for humanity and we blindly accept what's presented to us believing we have no control. But that is a lie

The Ship That Saved Me
It’s been a month since I lost my job. I’ve had more stress than sleep. A friend of mine suggested I take melatonin before bed and here I am, 30 days later, desperately searching the bottom of the bottle for my last pill. I want to believe it’s working, so I’ll stick with that. I figured melatonin would be safer than emptying a bottle of red wine every night, although I have thought about it.

Reversal of Social Charisma
The numbers are killing you. Futile scrolling over the tabs you've already gone through seems inevitable. Like, shares, views, or comments are the numbers on which your happiness depends. What is up with these numbers? These obsessions indicate the impact of social media and numbers on us. When I started reading on Medium, my reading list was filled with superfluous articles on self-help, productivity, etc. After trotting over twenty such articles, the point which always squeezed its way inside the article was Social Media. These apps are cajoling you into their web, and it's nothing less than Folie à deux between you and your Instagram. Astonishingly, involving only one living person.

“… but we love you very much.”
You never know if something is good or bad unless you have something to compare it with. Because of that, the truth can easily be manipulated by the people who have authority and power. I Was Afraid of the Stigma
I procrastinated making my appointments for quite some time now merely because I hate the doctors and it doesn't matter what it's for. Whether it's for the dentist, the gyno, my annual physical, I hate it; all those white rooms and medicine smells give me anxiety. But, given these trying times, I couldn't put it off for much longer so I made my appointment for my physical which I was long overdue for, and with all these apps I didn't even have to call! I also hate making phone calls, go figure, and having that nervous shrill phone voice that everyone has. I had quite a few things to ask my doctor and one of them being about finding a psychiatrist so the time was now honestly.

Perfectly Content
There it is. There on the horizon, so close yet so far, lies the ship on the still waters. Its sail a striking white against the clear blue of the sky, its hull of lustrous wood at peace on the contrasting deep blue of the ocean. A perfect vessel aligned in the differing shades of blue, a visible boundary of Sea and Sky, a marker, a monument that bridges the gap between two great forces where never the twain shall meet.

Feeling embarrassed
Imagine standing in your kitchen hiding behind a wall. Why? Well to avoid your delivery driver who is dropping off your groceries. You know they can’t see you through the window in your living room, but yet you still stay hidden in your kitchen. An extra wall for protection. You don’t understand why you don’t want to see them or why it makes you feel so anxious.
