What a weekend!
Haiku: for Natasha Collazo‘s unofficial Poetry challenge
Trumped up charges brought
you to a farce of a trial
Silent, you bore it.
*
Your enemies fueled
by anger and hate, bayed for
your innocent blood.
*
Silently, composed
You watched a rebel set free
While you were condemned.
*
Enthroned on a cross
to save your poor broken world
you conquered evil.
*
Death was powerless
to keep you captive in chains
You rose! King of Life!
*
Jesus, Son of God
continue to bless and heal
us all, this Easter.
*
Easter message as found in Mark 15-16:7.
