MC Part Four ⤵⤵

The princess stares in horror as she listens to their plans

Briefly, she considers running for the castle to warn the king

But with a hop, skip, and jump the toad takes Ingrit by her hands

While the shrew and raven find a place to roost, she stands quaking

*

Explaining to her that she is an important part of the whole ruse

The toad calmly leads them all back up the tree-lined lane

Once he explains the system, carefully to make sure not to confuse

The raven then asks Ingrit, “Or would you rather wear a chain?”

*

The princess croaks, trying to speak, as a tear falls from her eye

Nodding her head, Ingrit motions she’ll go along with their scheme

The shrew, watching the princess closely, says, “She tells a lie.”

The toad flicks his tongue, and Ingrit hears the captured fly scream

*

Heading to the castle, Ingrit takes the menagerie to her chamber

Careful thought is needed before her plan can be put into motion

One way or another, one of their plots would be over by September

There has to be some way to break this curse, a kiss, spell, or potion

Well-wrought! Cathy warned me there might yet be an icky toad-kiss...

Haha! This reminds me of those pass the paper stories I did once upon a time, really can become quite an adventure with multiple creative authors playing off of one another

Ha. That was fun. But my shrew turned into a mouse somehow. Whatever, close enough. I did my part. 😀

  • We await the revelation, great collaborative fun

  • Huh, I wonder what would break the curse

Fantastically done as always, MC. 😁 Intrigued to see where it goes. I'm secretly hoping for a hundred parts to the story. ♥️

  • Good luck figuring out what your mischief has wrought, lol.
