MC - Part Seven ⤵⤵⤵

No time to spare for reunion, not for this royal brother and sis

With their colorful heads together, they thought hard and long

Going over everything twice, making sure nothing was amiss

Preparing to right what the puckish raven and shrew put wrong

*

Appropriating the assorted sundried supplies they would require

The sibling duo carefully and quickly crossed items off their list

Each double-checks the Before books for the materials they acquire

Collecting their items, they don fine silk cloaks and go into the mist

*

There was one important thing that the many Before books did agree

The royal twins would have to go forth and find the Swamp Witch

For it was said that only through her could the princess be set free

Carefully, entering the crone’s domain in their clothes of fine stitch

*

The two travelled deep into the rancid swamp, and it was well past noon

Stumbling along in the muck, trying their best not to go under

There were no signs of life anywhere they looked, not even a loon

The prince and princess started to wonder if they had made a blunder

*

Deciding they’re chasing a hoax, turning back the way they’d come

Confused, for the path they’d traveled disappeared before their eyes

Nervously, the princess croaks, thoughts on the safety of the biodome

Suddenly, the piercing quiet all around them, blood-curdling cries
