The Portal In Wayland's Smithy
A Terza Rima Inspired By A Beautiful Painting By The Glittering Fox

Introduction
This is my sixty-sixth piece inspired by Angie Livingstone's inspirational artwork. I love the beautiful autumnal colours in this work.
Our book, "The Art Of The Glittering Fox", is now available on Amazon throughout the world.
This poem is a Terza Rima
Terza rima was invented early in the fourteenth century by the Italian poet Dante Alighieri for his narrative poem the Divine Comedy, which he set in hendecasyllabic lines. In English, poets often use iambic pentameter. Terza rima is a challenging form for a poet, and it did not become common in the century following its invention. The form is especially challenging in languages that are inherently less rich in rhymes than Italian.

Magically lovely, Mike
That was so wonderful and magical. Loved it so much!
I love how I often learn about new poetry forms from you. Even having gotten a Bachelor's in English and a Master's in Creative Writing, you show me that there is still a wide world of poetry for me to explore out there. Well done on the poem itself, also. I particularly love the stanza "Through This Doorway, See The Mirrie Dancers Swirl / There Are Lands And Creatures Far Beyond Our Ken / Mountains And Great Castles With Their Flags Unfurled". It feels so mystical and dream-like.
I enjoyed the combination of art, music and poetry! Thanks, Mike!!๐๐
