A Hurricane's Woes
August 29, 2005 was the day Nature reminded the world of the effects of climate change with its unleashing of Hurricane Katrina. The Category 3 storm drowned the streets of New Orleans owing to severe levee breaches, and left unimaginable tragedy in its wake.

Two Thousand Years Old
Introduction This is inspired by the thoughts of things that have lasted from ancient times to the present day, One book I have on the subject is Julian Cope's "The Modern Antiquarian" and I also live close to a section of Hadrian's Wall and often visit the Temple of Antenocitus and the selfie for this piece is me leaning on a column there.
