Dream

A Poem

This hauntingly daunting feeling

The unreality of watching my dreams unfold before my eyes

Watching them rip off their disguise

Thoughts swirl in my mind

Like clouds in the sky

A visceral vestige of future past

Tracing my fingers along the cast

A mold holding me back

Unsure of how to act

Retracting and refraining from the pain

Following the process

Unsure of the outcome

What have I become

A ship with no anchor

Drifting from the surety of the shore

Security felt no more

Yet

Adventure awaits on the horizon

Thus, it is time to try again

I like this one a lot, It's stirring and yet has some nice cadence to it.
