surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Manifest
I am not alone in this room. The silence is clear and precise with its power. I inhale deeply. A picture of you crosses my mind. I try to stop myself from having those bleeding eyes. The chaos is real in this skull. The turbulence speaks about the ancients and their war to maintain the energy. I feel the fire spreading through my body now. Another version of self awakens again.

Genesis
I stare into the void a little longer than usual this frigid morning trying to comprehend the balance of as above so below. I rise higher and higher each time only to come crashing back down more violent than the time before. I feel every bruise intimately, I recognize every scar's tribulation, and I witness the bones aching beneath the moon. It all has something to do with learning lessons and growing older. Resisting the urge to crawl into the tomb to avoid the uncomfortable. That necessary requirement to grow.
