Moon light bounces off the sand,
sheltering our homely land.
an eye for an eye, and a heart for a heart,
I think that we all should take a part.
The moon tells us to go to bed,
the sun tells us to raise our heads,
to praise the day ahead we see,
the day for you, for you and me.
When it is all done, we have paid our dues,
the last sunset comes, in beautiful hues,
of red and pink, to us it is diminished,
to the rest of the world, we are finished.
No more moons and no more suns,
it makes us feel like the only ones.
The only ones who are truely gone,
forever more, part of the dawn.
