Proud to be His 🌈

We speak different love languages.

It took me a while to learn his.

I wanted my language to be his.

It's not.

We are so very different, in so many ways!

I've never known anyone like him!

I'm a touchy-feely romantic type, a thinker.

He's the loyal constant provider, a doer.

Throughout the day, he checks to make certain I have everything I need.

At least once a day, when he's at work, I send him texts with lots of 💖💕💘❤️s (or dirty jokes).

Before he settles down for the night, he checks in with his mama & his boo to make certain everyone in his circle is okay.

At night, I cuddle up and hold him tight until he falls asleep in my arms.

It gives my soul a joyful jolt when he calls me "husband"!

{ He started calling me "husband" shortly after we became engaged. We haven't been officially married yet; I'm actually his fiancé; but our souls are already entangled, forever & beyond. }

We both say, "I love you" multiple times daily.

We both respond to those frequent declarations of affection by saying "I love you more!"

But I know he loves me most.

He proves that constantly.

He's fucking amazing.

He's my Everything.

I want him to think that he has the world's best husband.

He'll be wrong, of course...

Because I have the best husband in the whole wide world!

The more he reveals his sweet soul to me, the more I want him!

It's bewildering, but he seems to want me too. ❓🤯❔

We are comfortable basking in each other's energy. We feel safe in each other's arms.

We make each other laugh.

Every day, I fall more and more in love with him.

He's mine & I'm keeping him!

It's an Honor and a Privilege to be his husband!

He gave me a whole new reason to feel _'Pride'.

This love prose/poem of mine☝️ fell short of the 600 words required to publish in Pride and landed here in Poets instead... which is fine, but this was one of my ways of celebrating Pride month.
