Read me a bedtime story? Pleeeeease? Just one?

I would if I could, Love.

Come tuck me in, Momma?

The darkness is endless. Endless and cold.

I waited up all night. Are you ever coming home?

I would if I could, Dear. It's out of my hands.

I used my inside voice when I flew down the stairs!

Take precious care. You're still my whole world.

I pulled the bunny ears through, just like you showed me, but Daddy don't care.

Cat's got his tongue, Kiddo. Give him some time.

I want you to make me pancakes! With a blueberry smile!

I can't grasp a thing now, hard as I try. I'm holding your hand. Can you feel me near?

I walked to the bus stop. I walked half a mile. Where are you?

I'm with you in spirit. Right here, by your side.

I played tag, Momma. With Sally and Jesse, Julie and Jen.

New friends to bring peace? Yes. I want that for you.

I did it, Momma. I came straight home after school. I done all of my homework.

Learn all that you can. You'll tackle the world.

I waited up all night, hugging Teddy's fluffy neck. I miss you so much.

It hurts. Yes, I know, Love. But I see it now. You'll be fine without me.

Did I do something wrong?

You're my perfect angel. You're never alone.

Ouch, this is just too hard, I just want her SO BADLY to FEEL what her mum is communicating.

Very moving. My youngest talks about me dying all the time and I tell him that I'll always be with him because I will. I'm not sure in what form but I'm hoping that I will be alive to him in memories; when he is faced with challenges and thinks about what I would do; when he looks at photos; when he talks to his brother about funny incidences from the past. I've also told him that I would like to be buried and have a tree planted on my grave, so that he has a living thing to visit if he needs to, which contains, in some way, my essence. A little macabre, I know but it seems to bring him comfort to think that this leafy tree could be his mum.
