Drowning
Another Sliver of Dark Poetry

This is a dark poem for Dharrsheena. It is not how I feel. So here are my words. The music is "drowning" by The Beat.
Sometimes things really hit us hard, and lots of things are hitting me at the moment. I can deal with everything but some people cannot deal with things and they can become very lost.

I Fell Into The Darkest Waters
Maybe I Was Pushed By Some Unknown
Under Pressure, Lamb To The Slaughter
Then As I Drop I Am All Alone

The Water Is Freezing, Cannot Breathe
Clothes Are Soaking, Darkness Does Abound
Currents Dragging, And The Currents Seethe
This Lake Is Deep, And There Is No Sound

I Hit The Bottom, I Cannot Move
Silt Around Me, Water Black Not Blue
Thereβs No Escape,I Have Been Dragged Down
This Is My End, Iβm Going To Drown

Crushed By The Weight, As I Now Succumb
The Black Putrid Water Fills My Lungs

I truly appreciate you for writing me these dark poems! Thank you a million times and a million more! π As usual, loved the ending stanza, crushed by the water pressure and black putrid water enters the lungs. That's so dark and beautiful! I loved it so much!
Oooh, love it! Great job really pulling the reader into the moment!
That felt like drowning, physically and metaphorically! Engaged all my senses, well done :)
Ooooh! That one feels really dark, and heavy. The imagery creates an almost too real scenario that makes me almost feel the cold, black water. Very effectively written!
