Caress of Mighty Steel
The Judas Kiss.

I’ll-fated and certain, the battle begins with cold, dark stares brimming with betrayal as sun reflects languid motions of heavy weapons.
Sudden action of strenuous wielding, stridently collides again and again, piercing tympanic nerves, reacting in the dazzling manner of primitive flint.
Blazing sparks scatter aimless, painfully charring bare skin with specks of searing-hot metal...
A fatal strike! I fall on trembling knee. Red essence flows in rifts from head to gaping mouth—karma’s most-decisive taste.
Pulse begins to slowly fade as wafting fumes of burning brush... earns the final sensation... of my thorough defeat.

You've managed to pen a novel in five sensory lines. Well done!
Is this about lost love, betrayal (both the same maybe) or a battle for your soul. So many stories reeling from these words. Really great echoes.
I'll take the rest of the book please!!! This felt like an opening scene to a movie or book and I'm sooo ready for it!!
I lingered on "karma’s most decisive taste"

Oh no! Life's essence ended to the sacrifice of steel. Could be an epic from the time of Beowulf! Sensational demise indeed Lamar. Really evocative. So well done!
