Wonderland Poetry Prompt Challenge Day 11
I tore the joker
He told me I couldn't
play hearts with tarot
that showed I was best friends
with fools
and blind men
always upside down swords
in the tower
clinking cups with your devils
and me - queen of hearts,
I held the house.
stacked hearts, all mine,
yours for the losing.
folded for nothing.

Queen of Hearts reigns supreme
Another interesting poem, Ellie. I like the way you mix the decks in this. It implies that "he" wants you to be what he expects you to be "The Queen Of Hearts", like you should do what he asks, that the Q of H is being stifled. I like the reference to card games at the end. I'm not sure about the ending - is it her folding or him? I feel like it's him.
