The Joker and the Queen of Spades
Wonderland Poetry Prompt Challenge Day 11

Pictures and memories are written in the cards,
The Joker and the Queen of Spades got together for no good,
The King of Hearts protected all the lonely hearts he could,
But there were several evil players in this deck of cards.
ππππ
The Jack of Hearts pronounced his love to all the other cards,
And never for a minute did he see the Jokerβs evil twist,
The affair between the Joker and his lover, which he missed,
And he found he had no real friends left in this pack of cards.
ππππ
No other card had the kindness to talk about this love affair,
The betrayal of his Queen of Spades and the Joker hiding there,
He sat alone, all by himself, in a heightened state of despair,
He had no will to participate in Poker, Gin, or Solitaire.
ππππ
The King of Hearts gathered all the cards,
βWe must stop this torrid love affair,β
βThe Jokerβs banned from all games, thatβs what I declare,β
The Jack of Hearts will reign supreme in this pack of cards.

Very nice! I love how you personified the cards and gave them life, and love triangles! Very clever.
