An Alien In Killarney

For The Vocal Extraterrestrial Challenge

An Ai Creation By The Author

A piece of silliness for the Vocal Extraterrestrial Challenge that you can read about here

The Prompt

Write a rhyming poem about the first thing you would introduce to an alien on Earth.

Blarney is not exactly local to Killarney, but, you know, poetic license, and if you want to know about the Blarney Stone you can read it here.

The music is "Kiss" by Prince

An Alien Stopped In Killarney

We Showed Him The Stone Set In Blarney

So He Set To And Gave It A Kiss

Now He Swee Talks Each Young Irish Miss

And His Rate Of Seduction's Alarming

I love this Mike! You captured the folk story brilliantly! Showing the alien the Blarney stone so they can communicate - Outstanding!

  • That's odd. Kissing the Blarney stone just earned me a whole lot of slaps across the face, lol. (Just kidding. I've never been of the North American continent before. Still, that's kind of what I expect would happen if I did.)

This is a fun poem! It actually reminds me of a story ones told by one of my Irish friends who is always going back to Ireland to see his family. Apparently one of the bars has a blarney stone that the locals piss on and then they laugh about when travelers go down and kiss it.
