Instructions for moving forward
To forgive is not to forget.
For it is impossible not to remember
The pain, the pleasure, the mundane
Scars bleed into bones.
We carry them with us wherever we go.
Identity molds to the shape of words
We attach new meanings to the unspoken.
Memories come and go with each breath.
Uncertainty derails every new interaction.
To know is not to see but to believe.
Shuffling in the dark with no light
Echoes of voices wanting to forget
Our life is but a speck of existence.
Fighting for significance in others
To be seen is to be noticed.
Rumination claims its victims blindly.
To release is to be free.
Through pain is the journey.
A traveler's quest for meaning
Only happens when starting.
