Plans made, afterthought am I,
message sent loud and clear!
Do you know what I
hear? You don’t care,
I am sure;
I’m done.

** I realized I was more of an afterthought in this person’s mind; someone to get with after everyone else was planned.

There he lay on the gravel, sadly, lifeless now dead Papa Goldfinch ** Today I found a dead male goldfinch; I have no idea what caused his death. It might have been a building strike or an attack by a cat or hawk. His mate and fledged babies might miss him or not. I know a female is nesting again. 🥲
