Soft

Forgiveness is always possible, even if it has to be within bounds - Michelle Liew

**********************************************************************

Soft

Drops

Gentle

Lightweight grace

A white feather floats

Now carries with it echoes of thanks

Caressing a heart now tattered, embattled by deep callused wounds that sting

Landing within reach, where sacred bounds now hold it firm, gracing it with a careful, gentle touch of time that never ends.

Note:

Here's a thought-poetry and maths make good friends. This poem is a Fibonacci-meaning that it follows the famed mathematical sequence:

Line 1 - 1 syllable

Line 2 - 1 syllable

Line 3 - 2 Syllables

Line 4- 3 syllables

Line 5 - 5 syllables

Line 6 - 8 syllables

Line 7 - 13 syllables

Line 8 - 21 syllables and so on.

Please also read our friend Dharrsheena's Fibonnaci poem for a more detailed explaination of the form!

Beautiful poem. I used to collect feathers it seemed birds were always leaving them behind in Latvia. I soon had a vase full of feathers. Soon after my husband passed on he knew how to send greetings, I came home from the store, and in front of the garden gate were 5 lovely feathers,

Thanks for introducing the form with your lovely words, Michelle! I haven't been rem inded of the Fibbonaci sequence since my "art days." I really enjoyed this, and now I'm off tho read Dharrshena's!

"Caressing a heart now tattered, embattled by deep callused wounds" - I love this line! Soft indeed.

  • Very lovely. Interesting and unique poetry form, one I am reluctant to try. You are always so graceful.

I appreciate your thoughts of forgiveness within bounds - it seems to make the (sometimes) difficult, easier. Nice form. I may give it a try.

Whoa, Michelle a Fibonacci poem—super cool! That feather imagery is just chef’s kiss. Light, soft, and full of feels. Mixing math and poetry? Genius move, and it totally works here!🤗✨

This is a beautiful and thought-provoking poem. The Fibonacci structure adds an intriguing layer of mathematical beauty to the emotional depth of the words. It's a testament to the power of poetry to convey complex emotions and inspire reflection.

  • Forgiveness is something I struggle with 😅😅 So happy to see you try the Fibonacci! You executed it brilliantly!
