Hot chocolate on my lips,
Bread rising in the oven-
Thanks for each fresh bite.

The old house stands tall,
Hard roof passes test of time-
Floors hold aged thanks.

Loved it, especially “aged thanks”!
Unique and well-penned!
A cozy feeling - warm bread and chocolate - a comforting poem 💕
Yes! These are the things that ground us. Be grateful for the security that the small things provide. Loved this, Michelle!
