A Difficult Abecedarian Playlist
Some Music For The Vocal Abecedarian Challenge
The Prompt
Write an abecedarian poem.
This is a βDifficultβ Abecedarian Poem because the basic Abecedarian is a poem where every line starts with the next ascending letter βAβ to βZβ but this requires that every line end with the next descending letter βZβ to βAβ, so rhyme is out of the question.
Just to add a few more hurdles this is a list of twenty-six songs by artists, and if you want to listen then YouTube links to all the songs follow the poem. I've had to take a little artistic license to fit the format as you can see in the very first line, but I have managed to create twenty-six lines of songs that I like but you may have never heard or were released before you were born, or you have forgotten about.
Dharrsheena pointed out that this slots nicely into my Plagiaristic Poetry series as well.
I do find it amusing that Vocal does not have "Abecedarian" on the Poetry Tags.

Obviously, this won't be exactly in alphabetical order but will match the poem.

I wanted George Michael's version, but could not fit it into the rhyme format for obvious reasons. George Michael and the title are four syllables each leaving no space for a word beginning with "C" to be inserted (and no, I am not being lascivious there)

A Difficult Abecedarian
From Walt Disney's "Song of the South" released in 1946 was "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah", which won the 1947 Academy Award for Best Song and is frequently used as part of Disney's montage themes, and which has become widely used in popular culture.

Wow! Definitely a huge effort... I hadn't realised that each line end was descending from Z-A!! Will have to attempt it sometime, but certainly not with Song artists & titles... brilliant. I only recognise: Imagine Dragons "BelieveR" Queen Under Pressure. Will have to listen to the others.
