From Walt Disney's "Song of the South" released in 1946 was "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah", which won the 1947

Academy Award for Best Song and is frequently used as part of Disney's montage themes, and which has become widely used

in popular culture.

The Prompt

Write an abecedarian poem.

This is a β€œDifficult” Abecedarian Poem because the basic Abecedarian is a poem where every line starts with the next ascending letter β€œA” to β€œZ” but this requires that every line end with the next descending letter β€œZ” to β€œA” , so rhyme is out of the question, but it is essentially an advert for the Vocal Challenge that you can enter via the link above.

I do find it amusing that Vocal do not have "Abecedarian" on the Poetry Tags.

Love how you took this challenge and made it trickier for yourself, and also wrote about writing an Abecedarian! β€œNow Let Your Words Flow, Be A Poet Like I AM” Is probably my favourite bit.

  • Nicely done, Mike. Love it.

Masterful double challenge!!!...I've been trying to just write a non-challenge poem in meter and rhyme and find that very difficult.
