dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
Oh, Rowlo
"Ah, yes. She’s letting me out! It’s potty time, but first... I must howl." "I am just so excited; we are going to play all day l—. She said she’s going to this work place again. I hate that place, whatever it is. I’m bored and she’s just now leaving. Also, where is my cookie?"

Home Alone; A Tale Of a Self-Proclaimed Karen/Spy dog
Hello human imbeciles, I am Esther the Brussels Griffon. I am writing to your species to show you a day in a dog’s life at home alone, the crap you don’t see while you’re away. You see, while you humans are away doing whatever you do. I am at home living my best teenage girl life.

The Party King
The day of Friday has come again, and the young King Louis peruses his castle after his parents have gone out for an excursion across the city. This means that Louis will be left alone late into the evening, which brings him much satisfaction, but first he must be sure that they are truly gone. He prattles about searching every room, every nook and cranny, to ensure that he is not mistaken. He does this every time after they have left simply because of that one Friday he got too lazy and forgot. The Queen, his lovely (albeit terrifying) mum, was hiding away working in a room in the tallest tower. She bellowed in anger when she caught him laying about on the lounge like a lazy sloth. He vowed ever since then to never again get caught on the sofa milling about. Still, Louis maintains a small semblance of grace because at that time she only caught him during his pregame rest rather than the main event of the day. This slight inconvenience left Louis quite pleasantly smug because, despite receiving a strong tongue lashing, his primary agenda each Friday would still go on.

How to deal with abandonment
It all started this morning when my humans took me to the park for an extended period of time; I knew right away they couldn’t be trusted. They kept me out in the sun, brought me to the beach, distracted me with toys, and tried to tire me out. I noticed right away their efforts to make me weary and throw me off my game, but it didn’t work. Do they really think I wouldn’t know what was going on?

A Song of Bark and Sniff
As we all know, Siberian Huskies need their beauty sleep. Just ask my brother Charlie. I often scoot from room to room in the middle of the night to find the perfect spot to snooze, and I always find him sleeping with paws sky high. Last night I decided to do a snooze with my dad. He always goes to sleep early because he wakes up early in the morning to leave us all alone. Why doesn't he ever take us with him? Oh well, I've grown used to it. I woke up to the scary noise of the noise box. Dad always calls it his alarm. I don't know what that word means, so the "noise box" works just fine. My house, my rules.

The Unexpected Hero
I stared at the front door from behind the bars of my kennel, waiting to hear the click of the lock from the front door turning into place. Followed by the footsteps down the front porch onto the driveway, then the sound of the car door slamming shut.

No Pets Allowed
I walk through the double doors with my arms full and my nerves spiraling. No matter how many gifts I brought along I knew they'd mean nothing compared to what she really wanted. It was our second anniversary and, even though she'd asked me not to buy anything, I didn’t want to come empty handed. Taking a deep breath, I pushed the elevator button and listened to the soft ding and the strumming of the motor as it answered my call. For 3 months id been making the journey here living separated from my wife. By now I’ve learned that in the morning, as well lunch time, was the busiest time causing the elevator to be packed, and that during the dead time the elevator came as soon as I beckoned. Mostly, I knew that I would be getting on the elevator alone and leaving the same way. No number of gifts would change that.

Tucker, you little... !@#$
I’m sure if you haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve heard of Shiloh, Lassie, Beethoven, hell even Marley, but no dog can compare to Tucker. You see we’ve only had Tucker for about 2 months, and he has already proven to be more than a handful. Granted like the saying “be careful what you wish for”, the saying is very much true. To give you a backstory on how Tucker came into our lives I have to start back in May. My roommate Shannon had recently lost her dog of 11 years and the house felt a bit empty. Sure, we still had Gracie-May (Pitbull) & Oliver (Cat), but the loss of a pet is difficult on anyone. As a collective we discussed whether or not to get a new dog, however my roommate needed time, which was understandable. Over the next few months Gracie-May’s behavior started to change. It was apparent that she was grieving the loss of Daisy. Her appetite had changed, she wasn’t chasing Oliver around as much. So, my room mates (Shannon and Allura) decided that maybe it was time to get a new dog.
