dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
Our Girl Minnie
I'd like to tell you about a dear friend of mine. She was a 16-year-old Border Collie named Minnie. She was very special to everyone because although she's experienced hard times in her life, her sweet nature and undaunting zest for life never wavered. She was the gentlest soul I've ever known in an animal, and I'd like to tell you her story.

Reasons to Have a Dog
A dog is one of the most popular pets that people keep all over the world. The overwhelming majority of them tend to give dogs all they can. Keepers want their dogs to have totally comfortable lives, so they buy comfortable clothes, great toys, and the best rated dog food for their pets. Why does it happen exactly that way?

LOVE HEALS
Hi, I'm TJ, aka TJ the Wonder Dog, that's what my mom calls me, and I would like to share my story with you so you can see how important dog rescue fosters are to so many dogs, including me. I am a Pitbull mix, my mom says she thinks I am a Pitbull and Boxer mix, she tells all those mean and nosy Pit Bull hating Karen's that I am a rare Giant North American Chihuahua, and the look on their faces when they hear that, ha, priceless. Before my mom decided to foster me she already had two other dogs, Dexter, who is a chihuahua terrier mix, he is so cute, but man he can be really loud and annoying, and Lola-Sophia, a Pitbull who my mom thinks is mixed with Rhodesian, but I don't care what she is, all I know is she was my friend from the minute we were introduced. What is really great is that both my new brother and sister are adopted rescues too. My mom still goes to school and also works as a medical assistant. We live in a two bedroom apartment. Even though the apartment is small, and she is very busy, she always makes time for all of us. She loves us so much that she took her beautiful yellow Camaro, which I rode in like a boss, and traded it for a Toyota SUV so she could take us all on adventures. Some may say she is crazy for doing that, but we know it's because she loves us more than anything. She tells us that all the time.

Wicket is Home at Last!
I was super-glad that I had a few days with Widget at Kathleen's. We had a chance to decide if we liked each other. He learned his new call name. He learned how to take a treat from my hand--believe it or not, taking a treat from a hand is a HUGE item of trust from a small dog! I have small hand and look how big they are compared to his head! (Please excuse the dirty fingernails--I have a homestead and I don't think my fingernails come clean any longer.) His willingness to take treats from my hand almost immediately, even though he'd had some breakfast already that morning, demonstrated a healthy food drive. That was encouraging, because I like to use clicker training for very young puppies and food is a quick and easy reward when using that kind of training.

When it's not a plastic bag
My name is Jessica, and I'm dramatic. I overreact, and I tend to take myself a little too seriously. They say that pets learn to reflect the personalities of their owners. Our family has a wonderful dog that tends to overreact. Is that related to the amount of time she has spent with me?

Under Pressure
Diamond Had It Ruff How someone quickly got attached to an “ugly dog.” This story is about a friend of mine who got his girlfriend a dog because of me. You could've called me a stray dog, but only because at that time in my life I was homeless. This gentleman opened his door, and offered me a place for as long as I needed. It wasn't a grand place, however, it was a grand gesture. Unfortunately, it put him in a sticky situation on the simple fact that he had a girlfriend, and since – “I was another female in her man’s space.” Before we all knew it, she was breathing down my neck while my friend felt like she had her hands around his. Now let me set the record straight. My friend and I were, and still are, no more than just friends.
