dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
Poochie, True King of the North
I heard voices in the distance. I heard people talking. Their voices became loud and then louder. My eyes widened, and boom – ten slobbering dogs running full speed whilst pulling a sled of three permanently smiling humans, came rushing around the corner of the dog mushing trail. Poochie and I were fifteen feet away and trotting.

Moose
You thought this was a story about a dog named Moose didn’t you? Actually, my dog’s name is Pebbles. Gotcha! Pebbles is my 8 year-old chocolate lab who loves to take adventures with me. She was originally training to be a hunter and to fetch fallen ducks. But guess what? My bred-for-hunting lab is afraid of the water. Her failed hunting career doesn’t discourage me tho; she’s still the best companion I could ask for.

A Life Unleashed
It is quite a challenge in itself to pick and narrate a single experience that my dog and I have made together. The first time we met was a silhouette of a puppy with the sun shining on his back that came trotting into our construction garage, with ears flopping and big paws flopping. Someone had abandoned him...at least that is what I believed before learning about all of the planting that goes on in our lives.. He looked like a shiny coated black Labrador, but also had a curled tail and spotted tongue like a chow.

Duchess … my 1st Animal Angel
As a child, my “gifts” sometimes scared or confused me. Being a natural born medium, spirit, angels, and beings of all kinds seemed to be everywhere. Since most were foreign to me, and no one else could see them, their presence tended to make me nervous or uncomfortable.

Life With Bailey
Bailey - in a hotel on one of our many adventures! Bailey was the best dog. Ever. I think everyone says that about their dog. It's hard to think of just one story he and I had together. I lived my life always looking for the next adventure, so we moved a lot. He always adjusted so well. This dog was unlike any other, and boy was he smart. In fact, he was smarter than some people I know! But I'm getting ahead of myself.

My Hairy Hero
I’ll never forget the first day I met my best friend. It was a freezing cold winter night. Momma entered the house with a large cardboard box. I could hear faint cries and tiny paws scurrying around inside the box. Momma strolled over to me and lowered the box for me to see. It was like love at first sight when the pup and I made eye contact. He was a baby pit bull with a gold Cuban link chain around his neck. I immediately named him Scooby because of my love for the cartoon, and the sub-species.
