My Hairy Hero
I’ll never forget the first day I met my best friend. It was a freezing cold winter night. Momma entered the house with a large cardboard box. I could hear faint cries and tiny paws scurrying around inside the box. Momma strolled over to me and lowered the box for me to see. It was like love at first sight when the pup and I made eye contact. He was a baby pit bull with a gold Cuban link chain around his neck. I immediately named him Scooby because of my love for the cartoon, and the sub-species.

New Year's Rest-olution
I could still recall the countless all-nighters – consistently yawning my way through college and work. I never thought about my rest at all. All I knew was that I needed to graduate, and I needed to make money. What I didn’t realize was that sleep deprivation was slowly killing me in the process. Thankfully, my rest nightmare would soon come to an end.

Golds and Goals
A man casually strolls down an empty university hallway. He wears a red oversized sweatsuit. A pin drop could be heard. Classes are in session. The walls are cluttered with Summer and motivational posters. Finals week is right around the corner. The man approaches an ajar door to the left. The professor can be heard scolding the classroom.
