Need a Break from Politics? Let's Talk Pawlitics!
When a ginger-tabby kitten with a stub tail was found in Talkeetna, Alaska, who could've purr-dicted his pawlitical future? Stubbs was elected the town's honorary mayor after voters opposed to the human candidates led a write-in campaign. The town’s general store became his “mayoral office”. Thirty to forty tourists visited each day to see the feline mayor, who went to a nearby restaurant every afternoon and drank catnip water out of a wineglass or margarita glass. Stubbs served as mayor for 20 years and passed away in 2017. Bonus fun fact: Stubbs was also a write-in candidate for the 2014 U.S. Senate race in Alaska.

My Sweet BabyGirl
Hello beautiful, it’s only been a few days since you left, but I miss you so much. You were always there for me when no one else was. When no one even noticed I was hurting, but you always knew. You’d come piter pattering into my room and jump onto the bed and snuggle into the covers with me. Staring at me with those big eyes that told me everything would be okay.

The Neko Witch
Haseieus picked up the expensive looking bottle of wine. His little brother, Ruayde, was hitting on the store clerk using a bunch of bananas. Haseieus rolled his eyes and put the bottle in his basket. The two were having a small get together with his friend, Dred, who was terrible at picking up chicks. He felt a tap at his shoulder. It was the store clerk, holding Ruayde by the ear.

Duke, Daisey, Diesel
Duke Duke, Daisey, and Diesel are our Danes. Yes, I know what you're thinking. They're so small how can they be Danes. Well Daisey is 5 months old, Duke is 4 months old, and Diesel is only 2 months old. Our original plan was to only get Duke and man did that plan change fast. We found Duke around the end of July and were supposed to pick him around the end of August. While the time was going by to when we were going to go get Duke, the thought of breeding Great Danes came into our minds. So, we started looking for a Dane that we could breed with Duke. Keep in mind we knew nothing about breeding. We just thought as long as they're not in the same litter then we could breed them. We were looking for any Dane that was healthy and we thought would be a good fit with our family. After looking for a while, we found Daisey who was up in Minnesota. We live in southern Illinois, so it would be a ten-hour drive to go get her. Well we felt that she would be worth it, so in one day we drove to Minnesota, picked her up, and then came home. Mac and April were wondering what she was and what she was doing in their home. April soon realized that she was another female that she could play with and teach to be like her. Mac on the other hand gave her the cold shoulder, wanted nothing to do with her, and would not share any of the toys with her. If you haven't picked up on Mac yet, he liked when he was an only child and isn't a fan of change. We got Daisey in early August and not long after her we were driving down to southern Missouri to get Duke. He was beyond lazy. This caused April to not want anything to do with him because he wouldn't play with her, Daisey could care less who he was as long as he napped with her, and yes, Mac didn't like him because he would try to lay on him.

Chloe Spoodle
Chloe didn’t start with that name, she was a little bundle of fur who couldn’t get upstairs without help and loved to be in the middle of games as my 4-year-old daughter played on the floor, bounding right through the middle. She started out as Daisy, Maggie, Flower then Lilly and finally we settled on Chloe, who was a spoodle or cockapoo. A cocker spaniel and mini poodle mix and she was the runt of the litter, in fact the last one left out of 8 when I saw her, tiny and cuddly. I had been sent to the breeders to bring home a hypo-allergenic golden doodle but when I saw how big there were at this farm, I asked for something smaller.
