The Butterfly on a String
It's been hot and rainy, although not quite as hot as the average Mississippi summer (probably due to the rain). Widget has spent most of his time inside with me, getting to know me and the other dogs. He's also become comfortable with the diet here, which is largely free of kibble. As much as I like to start training when puppies are small, he's undergone a lot of changes in a very short period. He's gotten bits of handling training and not much else, which is absolutely fine when the weather is so formidable. If I had an enclosed training area with air conditioning, it would be different. Right now, I take things as opportunities present themselves.

Burn out? Overwhelm? Humidity? Diet and exercise? I don’t know. Probably a combination – a cycle of negativity. When this humidity breaks, maybe that in itself, will be enough to increase my positive energy flow. Right now, this humidity feels like a wet blanket draped over my head – everything appears heavy and dark. It’s stifling.

At that time my senior cat Sid, who was 13 got used to this little lovely creature coming to keep his Mama company.

A Precious Dog
I always said we were kindred spirits because I felt we had a lot in common. We were both older ladies; we've had babies multiple times and our bodies showed it; we had arthritis that at times became unbearable, just to name a few. On occasion, we would complain to each other about these things. Ok, I complained, she listened.

Why you must research before you buy a pet!
Let me start with this...I am a retired Master Groomer that worked for a large pet corporation for 13 years...I have seen it all, and yes I am pretty much an expert in dogs and cats skin and fur health, also as a groomer I know pet breeds and behaviors, so I was good at pairing the right breed with the right families.
