Deep Observations
Silent Hunter, Ancient Relentless Killer Yes it’s an FLA as opposed to the rampant TLA )Five Letter Acronym as opposed to a three letter acronym) , but I went through a lot of permutations to come up with that one and probably someone far more intelligent and observant than I has already done it , but I did arrive at it under my own steam.

Our First Beach Trip
It sounds cliche, but my dog and I saved each other. When I adopted her my anxiety was crippling and I could hardly leave my house. Frosty, my four-year-old English pointer, was only 45 pounds and she was all skin and bones. The first time I saw her my heart shattered. It was a cold November day in New England, and when she got out of the car, I noticed all of her bones were showing and she was shaking because she was so cold. She also had a horrible limp and raw skin on her belly and her elbow. I took her to the emergency vet where they told me that Frosty should be around 70-75 pounds. They said her limp was from a previous injury and the bad skin and the limp would never heal.

Sunset With My Springer
Over our 14 years together, Cesar and I have had some wonderful adventures. From the (now) hilarious - being chased by a herd of cows - to the somewhat terrifying - pulling him Titanic-style out of an icy lake - it’s fair to say that we’e crammed our lives full of memories.

A wild night on the town
To have a golden retriever is to have the funniest little sister in the world. When I was 13 years old, my mum picked me up from the bus stop, with the best surprise of my life. Her name was Sammy and she was the prettiest girl in the world. She jumped straight on my lap and I instantly fell in love with her. Her beautiful golden coat, her tail that reminded me of a feather duster and her big brown eyes that could melt your heart with one look.

Broken
Finding love as a gay man in the South is no easy task. Like everyone, I’ve been on countless apps and endless blind dates. For the umpteenth time, I thought I had found “the one” when I met Scott. Our initial meeting was quite unconditional. The night we met on a risqué dating app, I invited him to come to a Halloween party with plenty of party goers. I wanted to be safe These days, people can’t be too careful because there are many “crazies” as I like to call them.

Pebbles
Let me start by saying how amazing and loving my baby girl is. She has brought me so much joy and happiness in my life. My baby is a two-year-old blonde Chihuahua named Pebbles. She was brought into my life in January of 2020 as a late Christmas gift from my oldest son. I couldn’t have her sooner than that because she was probably still too small and was still nursing. When my son had told me a little after Christmas that what he really wanted to get me was a puppy but couldn’t find one; I immediately went online and began my search. Only ten minutes later, I found her. The cutest and smallest little face on an ad on Craigslist. I quickly messaged my son at work and let him know I found a Chihuahua. When he told me to call, I did just that and made sure they knew I wanted her, and I wanted her at that very moment. The next day I went to get my baby and oh my goodness when I saw the guy carrying her out of the car I almost ran up to him and just snagged her right out of his hands. I was in love.
