Camelia Tanzo-Burgess, Camelia, Camie, or Cam-Cam for short is a highly pampered, needy young lady. Her high expectations however will be met with the utmost respect and loyalty and you definitely won’t be let down by her loving nature.

One downside to this lady’s personality however, is that she has severe separation anxiety and can easily fall into depression when her family isn’t around.

When Cam-Cam becomes depressed, she may become lethargic and unresponsive, and even shake uncontrollably. This might make anyone around her worried sick, so in order to ensure her happiness and yours in turn it’s advised that you please follow the rules listed below. It’ll pay off for sure.

*We will be on vacation during your stay just to get her warmed up to the transition of us not being around any longer.

When Camie Is Stressed, Heavenly Hounds Are Best.

Like I mentioned earlier this is a highly anxious princess you’re dealing with. If there's a storm and thunder erupts or any other loud, unexpected noises startle her, she’ll shake and cry for hours. She’ll simply run away and hide. Because of this, she has medicated treats that can calm her down when she’s feeling highly stressed. They’re called Heavenly Hounds and are located on top of the bench along with many of the other items you may require for her care. It’s important you know that while she likes these treats, when she’s extremely scared she may not eat them immediately so it’s best to leave out half a treat, broken up into chewable pieces where she knows they’re at. In order to do this, please show her the treat and put it somewhere in her sight if she refuses to take it hand-fed (which she usually does but if she doesn’t you’re lucky!).

She’s Lazy But Needs Exercise.

You might expect a herding breed like her (cattle/border collie) to be extremely hyper, but surprisingly, most of the time she just wants to sleep and lie around all day. As much as she’d like to do this, it isn’t healthy and she normally needs anywhere between a mile and two miles a day, however more can’t hurt! A mile may sound long, however a brisk walk lasting just twenty minutes could easily do the trick! When walking her if she poops please be sure to always have a bag on hand (and we have plenty of them! - located in her equipment box next to her toy box) in order to clean it up. Also, next to walks another way to get in additional loads of exercise (and in the way she prefers) is playing with her with her toys!

Playing Time (And What To Do If It Gets Too Rough)

Next to napping, Camie’s favorite thing to do is to play! She has a ton of toys to make playing with her as enjoyable as possible! Something to take note of however is that she can get really into this play and sometimes it can get quite rough, but she rarely draws blood. If she does end up hurting you however with her rough play, please stop playing with her and allow her to know what she’s done wrong in a subtle, yet effective way. You could ignore her, show her what she’s done, or scold her and she’ll usually get the idea. She’s much smarter than she sometimes gives off so those guilty eyes aren’t just her being cute - she really feels badly for what she’s done. Also if she’s really hurt you, (which I don’t expect but just in case) there's a first aid kit on the leftmost part of the shelf just over the washing machine. Please use it if it’s needed (which again, hopefully it won’t be but this is just in case).

What To Do If She’s Hurt Or Sick

This princess has a lot of allergies and if she’s coughing or aspirating it’s usually okay. She’s on medication and it should be okay. Sometimes however she might bite or scratch herself also and she has foot spray called Lotrimin that you may spray on her feet if she bites them, but she doesn’t like it at all and it might be a huge hassle. She probably won’t need this anyways though, considering she’s on medication. If you do sense anything out of the ordinary, please contact us so that we can tell you what to do. This most likely won’t be necessary but if it is we just want to make sure you know what to do.

Feeding And Water Regulations

Camelia is fed just once a day in a large quantity. This time of feeding is routinely at night time, however there's not a specific time that she’s fed each day. Her nutritious meals include a variety of beef, turkey, and chicken mixed with a variety of vegetables, rice, and other grains. These meals are pre-prepped and can be found in containers stored in the freezer. These containers can be heated up in the microwave for two minutes and since they’ll be hot, taken out carefully with oven mitts found on the itchen island. They can then be poured into her pink dish on whichever side as her water is located in a fountain-like machine because the fussy girl won’t touch water that’s been sitting there for hours, so please when giving her water only use her fountain to do so. Also, you don’t absolutely need to, but if you’re feeling up to the task there's dawn and sponges you may use to clean Camie’s containers after feeding her.

Emergency Food And Snacks

If Camelia happens to run out of food, there are moist meaty packets located in the large box on top of the black and yellow boxes labeled ‘Purina Moist Meaty’. She usually doesn’t love-love these very much so they’re usually used only in emergencies so if you’re looking for a snack to feed her, there's Beef Jerky in the large Snack Box in the cupboard and also peanut butter on the third shelf, also located in the cupboard. If you’re looking to try something extra fun, Camie has a toy or two that you’re able to stuff treats into called Kongs, and also even some puzzles that she’s able to solve and get treats out of! These are located in the top black and yellow bin, so it would be the first you’d open or in other words the one with the big ‘Purina Moist Meaty’ box on it. Please feel free to play these puzzles with her!

Washing Time!

Cam-Cam, while a princess and young lady, is still a dog after all. Being a dog she can get quite filthy at times for no apparent reason at all, shoving her face in some dirt. She’s usually washed once a week on Sundays, however in order to fit into your schedule you don’t need to wash her unless you feel she’s become much too dirty. If this does occur she has some doggy oatmeal infused shampoos again, located on the bench. Dawn is also okay to use and is located next to the sink plus there's some extra in the drawers under the kitchen sink.

Accidents

Usually this dog is a very, very well behaved young lady, however again, she does sometimes become extremely anxious and may pee or even occasionally poop inside of the house if she’s not getting the high amount of attention she desires. If she does, please again, scold her and allow her to know she’s done something wrong and then use the fiora paper towels located on the bench along with the cleaner located underneath the kitchen sink to clean up her mess.

Sleeping, Resting, And Nap Times

Cam-Cam has four options regarding where she’s permitted to sleep, rest, and/or nap. These options include the floor, the carpet in the living room, her bed, and her spot (located closest to the window) on the couch. Her options DO NOT include the bedrooms unless you’re watching her at the time as she may find a nice place in there to pee or poop and hide it from your eyes. Please don’t allow her to do this. She’s okay with some noise while chillaxing and you’re free to watch or play something on Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, etc. You should be able to get into the TV. as there really are no passwords but it glitches sometimes so you might just need to select a different account and that should do the trick! At night time please be sure to shut off most of the lights but leave a lamp or two on as she gets extremely scared of being left alone in the dark!

Room Rules

Please at all times that you’re not watching her, keep all of the rooms closed and inaccessible to Camelia as she may again, go and have a hidden accident in the room, or, in the case of the bathroom, drink straight out of the toilet bowl. Please don’t allow her to do this and instead close the doors!

And Lastly...Have Fun!

Please be sure to enjoy your time with Cam-Cam and (during the time period of getting to know her before adoption) visit whenever you’d like! Again, you may use the television (including any games that you may carefully insert into the Xbox gaming system), computer, draw, drink, and eat anything you can find in the cupboard! Of course you can use the restroom and...just make yourself at home! Your job should feel comfortable and you should feel you’re able to come and visit Camie whenever you please! She’ll be super happy about that and like I mentioned before, it’ll be WORTH IT!

So, are you ready for it?

Are you ready to have your very own Camelia?

Well, sorry, but upon rethinking it, she's my baby and you won't get the pleasure of taking care of her anytime soon.

SHE'S MINE!

...

MINE!

Find your own!

Seriously though...dogs can be a handful, but they're so worth it!

Everything...every hardship listed on this list is true, but the same goes for the beautiful aspects of this beautiful young lady's personality...and honestly, all-in-all, what's not to love?

And to think, at some point of time my family actually almost gave up this ginormous bundle of joy that brightened up all of our days for so many years now!

HOW STUPID!

Every dog is different. Just like us they all possess their very own unique qualities, and that's what , makes each and every one of them so very special.

Now what are you waiting for!?

Let's go DOG OWNERS!
