Pandemic Puppy
I can hardly believe these pictures, even though I was behind the camera. Kiwi was not even a year old, a psychotic ball of energy with no attention span. Even though she has always been an amazing trail dog, this moment in itself was something that made my heart skip a beat.

Sham meeting Junior
Sham, a Newfoundland Labrador mix became our puppy in 2010; my husband wanted to talk to me about this puppy. The landlord at the time got it for his son to play with but quickly realized that Sham was too hyper for a little; toddler. Well, as I walked out into the backyard, all it took was one look, and that was it. Sham ran into the house and claimed us for his family. We have had a few close calls when it comes; to certain aspects of taking on a 10-month-old puppy while homeschooling the children. They were young then but, we managed to make it through.

A Cat Named Annabel Lee
I'm not sure why I named my cat after Edgar Allan Poe's Annabel Lee. I think maybe the tone and rhythm attracted me. If you aren't familiar with the works of Edgar Allen Poe, Annabel Lee is a lyric poem about Poe's deceased wife, or at least that's what many people think. That's as far as any similarities go between my Annabelle Lee and Poe's.

A Case Of Mistaken Identity
It was a hot summer afternoon when I realized I needed to run outside to get something that I had left in the car earlier that day. As I was about to go back inside my house I noticed a little dog on my neighbor’s porch. I knew he didn’t belong to my neighbor, as they had three big dogs. Being one of those dog people, who would love to pet every dog, I called the little guy over. He came happily wagging his tail, and though he was a little shy at first he warmed up to me pretty quickly while enjoying getting some attention.

The Deer Catcher
It has been ten years since I said goodbye to the only dog I have ever raised, and, unashamedly, I must say that I miss him more than some of the relatives I have lost. This might seem extreme, rude, maybe even horrid, but I can say with all the honesty that I posess, my dog, Muttly, was the kindest, most intelligent, wild, charming, dedicated, respectful being I have ever known.

A Friendship Like No Other
I’m tied to the dock as a gale grows outside the protection of the bay. Snow is piling up on the sailboat, but tonight I’m not enjoying the warmth from the woodstove aboard Capricorn, the 27ft sailboat I call home. Instead, I’m worriedly perched on her aft deck, peering through the falling snow and into the darkness. Searching.

The Adventures of Peanut Butter
A loyal friend, a ray of sunshine when your sad, and a comforter when you are not feeling well. That is what a dog is to us humans. A best friend unlike any other is what every puppy sets out to be for their people parents and siblings. This story is about a puppy just like that, a puppy named Peanut Butter. Peanut Butter is a beautiful and adventurous puggle puppy. A majestic and energetic young lady with an abundance of love for all. Peanut Butter loves the attention of everyone she meets, and she goes above and beyond to make sure they give her that attention. From laying so pretty in the grass staring at people on their front porch, to rolling over so they can rub her belly if they come close enough. Her tail is always wagging, and it gets faster as her excitement grows, sometimes spinning in circles really fast.

The Adventures of Argos
Dear website thing Momma spends too much time on, My momma has told me all about this weird online thing that she writes on. I don't really get the point. I would prefer to knock her phone out of her hands so she can pet me and play fetch... but I heard that there's a new challenge about your canine companions, and I like when things are about me.
