Til We Meet Again, Teddy...
Teddy. "What an adorable name I gave you, for such a charming little being who looks exactly like a miniature teddy bear." are the exact thoughts that lovingly infiltrate my mind as your little beady-eyes stare at me. It's been four years since we started our relationship and being with you has transformed my life in so many ways. Do you remember the first day I brought you home? I giggle just reminiscing on how tiny you were. You were such a character and a smart one too. I recall wondering "How in the world does this 4-month-old Maltese know how to potty on a puppy pad like that without training?!". Wow, how lucky am I to have you! You reminded me so much of myself from my childhood. Exceptionally loving and just beyond smart, out of nowhere, and so young to be it. I genuinely believe that's why you and I connected so much. You just get me.

Dogs are the Best
Whilst this is about my gorgeous, crazy, wonderful, naughty, cheeky, silly dog, this post does come with a trigger warning. I won’t be going into detail at all, but there will be some mention of self-h@rm and depression. So please, feel free to skip this post if you need to.

Black Cat
Black Cat Oh, how you have been slandered, battered, and bruised. They hate you and cause you such abuse. They fear the unknown, so they run and hide from the truth. Beautiful, magical, and mythical you rein. Blessings from you are Goddess Ordained. You are one with the darkness, and you know great pain. All of your wisdom won't go in vain.

Behind the Mask. Top Story - January 2022.
“Go get ‘em!” Tens of tiny biscuits were propelled into the air, as ten tiny faces desperately watched with crazed eyeballs, hungry and excited. Then tens of tiny paws frantically scrabbled, slipping across the laminate floor as the biscuits rained down and scattered everywhere; booty dropping from a piñata. And in ten seconds – gone.

"One day when I was walking my dog..."
I used to have this dog called Lucky. He was my best friend through my teenage years. In fact, I'm not sure I would have survived growing up without him. Now, I could tell you about the time he and I got caught in a sudden snowstorm, and the drifts were reaching my waist before we were halfway home. Or I could tell you about the holidays of which he was an important part, or all the interesting dog people I met while on walks or at competitions. But I've chosen I different story. I slightly funnier one, about a monstrous swan and a whole lot of water and mud.

The Wild Mile
Her golden fur shimmered between hues of silver and wheat as she ran, her paws flinging pebbles and dirt behind her. I crouched and slapped my thighs, bracing my body for the inevitable impact. With one last pump of her legs, she leapt up into my arms, her chin smacking into my collar bone.
