Cats On Thrones
More Observations On The Cats I Meet On My Walks

Introduction
I have probably said this before, many cats look at you disdainfully, sitting on a step or wall, or even a bin as though they own the place and you are just a plebian trespasser.
I think Doris Knight's "I Think My Cat Wants To Kill Me" is appropriate for these pictures I will share with you.
I refer to most of them as "he" but I don't know the sex of them and the word they looks strange when talking about a cat that you have seen.

Cats On Thrones
Today there were a surprising amount of cats out, sitting on bins, steps and walls, and I even had one coming to demand treats from me, which I find quite amusing.

The one entitled to treats often comes and knocks on one of the kitchen windows.

Sometimes they do run off like this one that hid under a car. There are a lot like this and usually I can't get a picture, but I suppose they are in their own castle where I can't touch them, but they can still look at me and treat me like the subservient that they know I am (in their opinion).

I think this one was telling me to stay away, safe inside its house on a chair, though I couldn't hear any noise coming through. I do wonder what he was saying. He didn't hide and I spoke with his mum who told me he was her daughter's cat but she was at university so mum had the job of looking after kitty.

A glare from a cat on a step, waiting for its owner to open the door and let it in from the cold. It doesn't look too impressed with me but the step is effectively this cat's throne.

Here is one sitting on a bin with that standard feline glare. I never step on people's property so cats are always safe in this sort of position and I think this one knows that very well.

I see cats of many colours and this one looks very haughty sitting on its window sill looking disdainful but still posing for a photograph. Sometimes they do turn their back on me so any photograph would be just a mass of black fur on a background, That did happen a few times when I was taking this batch of photographs on my walk.

Often, I see cats sitting on car roofs. This one had just jumped up but I wasn't quick enough to capture that, I think it is observing some pigeons or magpies down the street. Sitting on cars makes a great statement of ownership for any cat.

One more sitting in a window with the "What do you think you are doing?" look, knowing they are safe in their domain.

A cat of a different colour, about to jump a back fence, although this one was on a wander through the back gardens and yards in a local street. I am always impressed by the confidence in feline agility, and I do see a lot of this on my walks, often seeing them on rooves, fences and other elevated places.
Here are a few of my previous stories with cats on their thrones or putting me in my place by miaowing at me.

I love the absolute "How Dare You" look from this one, they can be so expressive at times.
Conclusion
