Parry's blessed day.

Hey. Hey! Are You going to get out of bed and DO something productive today? You need to get up. For You, today is a very special day!

Captain Dan, The ceiling fan

What? Is someone there? I hear a voice, but from where? Well Yes, I am up here, on the ceiling. Please, no need to have a scared feeling. I am here to guide You, there is a plan. Hello I am Captain Dan, and I am your biggest fan.

Hello, my name is Parry. Parry Ott-McCaw. I’m not scared, though this is the most amazing thing I have ever saw. I mean seen, not saw. You’re the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I didn’t say it properly first, but do You know what I mean?

Oh You’re fine Parry. Yes, I knew what You meant. Now go get cleaned up and dressed because a blessed day awaits! 100%!

OK. I’ll hustle and be sure to use soap, because it cleans. Then I’ll put on my favorite T-Shirt and jeans.

Geno

Hey Hey Hey! Howdy Hello! You’ve never noticed me, my name is Geno. Most people just quickly see a part of jeans that are all worn about. But I’m some mummy special, and appreciate that You are wearing me out. Wearing me outside today I mean, on your magical journey. I sure hope we get to see your brother Bernie! Now put me on and look in the sink’s cabinet, down underneath. Your maw Molly McCaw put a tube of paste, to brush your beak and teeth.

Up and down, around and around. Parry brushed very well. His mouth was super-duper clean, he could tell. Uh Oh!, said Parry. The sink has a clog. It’s full of water now, like a home lake for a frog.

With a mouth full of toothpaste, he thought of what to do. He lifted up the lid and seat, and spit it in the loo.

Sudsy

Please! I am Sudsy, Hello! You are reaching for the lever, but for goodness sake No! Oh my! It is too late. I didn’t get a chance to explain! Since You already flushed, Whoa! Now I am going down the draaaaaain!

Parry started cooking some oatmeal, and sat down at the kitchen table. Then a very slow and deep voice appeared. Good day sir, I am Walter Abel. Call me Wally. I understand for You today, a lot of things will come to life. You will notice things others don’t, and it will be as fun as playing a fife.

Parry heard the voice, but saw no one there. No one was at the table, no one in a chair.

Have a closer look, said Wally. Just relax, and gaze at the wall. Soon You will see me, and others, without trying at all.

Parry looked up at the wall, then closer, slowly focusing in. Sure enough, there was Wally! Now there friendship could begin.

Walter. Macaw pals can macawl him Wally.

Hello Wally. Let me grab my grub that has been warming on the burner. I appreciate what I’m experiencing today, and feel blessed to be a learner. I have oats with plant-based chorizo, walnuts, fruit, and pumpkin seeds. This will taste delicious, but also provides nutrients that a body needs.

Oatus

Wait a minute! Wait a minute! Hey Howdy, I’m Otis. Let’s talk before You shovel me in. It’s good that You’re eating me, but I’m sad our friendship barely had a chance to begin. I guess sometimes things come together, but we have to let go for good reason. It’s OK Bro. I am happy I could help You grow. I mean it, I am not teasin’.

Abel, I was able to eat all of my oats, but hungry I still am a smidge. Oh! There is some left over sweet potato and chorizo, chillin’ in the fridge. Let me grab that, and then we can talk for a few minutes more. But then I need to go fix my truck, its parked right outside of the door.

Parry went to get the potato, it was in a plastic container with a blue lid. He had to shuffle other things around first, behind the carrots it hid. Parry pulled the lid off and from the drawer grabbed a spoon. Then to his delight came a voice singing a happy tune.

Goober GooBuddy Goo

Yes sir. Hello sir. My name is Goober Goobuddy Goo. A veggie called a tuber, also known as a sweet potato too. Please eat me because if left too long in the fridge I will go bad. Thrown in the trash, instead of fed to your tummy, would make me sad.

Well Hello there Goober. Eat You I think I will do. I could warm You up first, but I like the taste when You're cold too.

Please enjoy. Eating a good food like me with chorizo isn’t at all wrong. It was nice meeting You, we are happy to help build your body strong.

Yes, You are doing well, and Goob is telling You the truth! Eating nutritious foods help You feel energetic, like the days of your youth.

Parry looked over at the stove, and to the voice coming from a cooking tray. Hello, I’m Dee Dee dear. It is nice to finally meet You today.

DeeDee

Hey…It’s OK, You have the cash. Get a fresh cooking sheet, and throw me in the trash.

Thanks Dee Dee. Like the potato You helped cook, I try to eat foods that are good me. I'll take your advice, because a greasy sheet doesn’t look nice, this I can see.

The sound of a shutting door came with a slamming sound. Parry Ott-McCaw! You would be best to get your mess cleaned up from the ground!

It was Molly, Parry’s mother. She had a sweet heart, but You should upset no other!

I am truly sorry, and very. I didn’t mean to be so lame. The truck should be fixed by now. I got distracted yesterday watching a football game.

Please be patient, I am on my way out there now. There isn’t much left to do, and what is, I learned to know how.

Parry hustled outside so he could get right to work. Upsetting his mother that way had him feeling like a jerk. He opened the truck’s door to pull the cable for the hood’s latch. It was hanging under the steering wheel, needing someone to reattach.

Hey there Parry! Remember me? It has been awhile since we first met. I’ve just been here waiting for You to place two whole bolts, then I’ll be set.

Parry responded in a mean voice, which was wrong, because he had a choice.

I’m in a bad mood and don’t care what your name is, truth be told. Because I was going to replace You anyway, because You are really old!

Parry unlatched the hood and propped it up with a bar. He had changed a lot of engine parts, and to be finished would not be far.

Hey bro! Come around here to the passenger’s back side, on the ground! I’m on the cardboard You used to get under the truck and slide around!

Parry peaked around and then focused in from the front. Honestly, some peace and quiet was something he did want.

But he took a big relaxing breath, and went back to see with the juice he was sipping.

Hi, I’m PB. I formed after You sprayed the engine cleaner, as it was dripping.

PB Blaster

I wanted to let You know, that all of this was quite a job that You took on. Ordering and changing engine parts, cleaning the crud until it was all gone.

But most importantly, it was out of your league with the part that controls the engine's timing. You didn’t let it hurt your pride, let the pros handle that task, and kept the bell chiming.

That was nice of You to say PB. It was unnecessary, but very kind. See, I felt proud of myself, not worrying what others said. That is like treasure to find.

Some things were easy, others it were difficult, I am not lying. But when it was hard I took my time, knowing I was fine. I didn’t quit, I kept on trying.

After he had things in the driveway cleaned up, Parry had other work to do. The next chore was to clean a wood deck, then cut a tree stump down too. He wheeled his washer out back to give the deck a soak. Parry heard, “Hey have You heard this joke? I’m an Eskimoak!”

Parry smiled and said Hello, then up the steps to the deck he did go. Voices came from all around, but from where he didn’t exactly know.

Slowly he made his way, offered one by one a nice smile they did display.

He was greeted a by a scared soft voice. Hello, I am Joyce. Are You going to shoot me with that gun by choice?

Joyce

Parry said, I’m sorry if I scared You Joyce. You have no reason to worry. It is only water, I’ll go slow and make sure You’re OK. I am not in a hurry.

After he was all done washing, Parry was hungry for at least a snack. So he immediately grabbed an apple he had brought from his lunch sack. He put the sack on the washer, on top of the hot exhaust cover to be exact. A voice screamed, Are You serious man?! That hurt, as a matter of fact!

Parry looked over and understood why they were mad. Are You OK? That looks like it hurts really, really bad.

Hurts? What? This, that is now permanent in it’s place? I guess You’ll know, if You ever try melting a plastic bag onto your face!

Feeling bad for hurting another, Parry walked away and munched his snack down. He ate the apple quickly, spinning it around and around. Suddenly after not much time had passed on the clock, eyes did lock. He looked down to see a face greeting him with a look of shock!

Bon jour, Big biter. I am Bruiser Brown. You should share the rest of me with an animal, or your tummy may wear a frown.

Parry agreed and threw the remains of the apple out in the back yard. Being blessed with a bowlful to choose from later, getting another wouldn’t be hard.

Parry went inside to see if his mom was upset with him anymore. She wasn’t there but left a note in the kitchen, on the refrigerator door.

Son. I apologize for yelling. To be a motivating parent is what I intended to do. For showing a good work ethic until the job was totally finished, I am very proud of You.

Parry felt inspired to focus more until finished; he knew he could have done better. A new job awaited him up the road, for Miss Fritz MaCawNamara. He had just met her.

Hey, what are You up to Slacker?, a laughing voice did taunt. Isn’t working to earn money for something very special You did want?

Yeah Bro!, another voice came from somewhere below. Often I’ve heard him say, an extraordinary story he could write, publish, and then share the earnings someday.

Parry scanned the floor, looking for more, to find clues to who was speaking. He wished in course, when he found the source, friends were where he was seeking.

Bam! Boo! Now You see us, as we’ve always seen You. Though we ARE much loonier! Hello, I am Plank Williams, and that fun spirit there is my boy, Plank Williams Junior.

We were only razzing and jazzing, to encourage. We are a crew. Now get there and keep the ride on the road. Show us what You can do!

Yeah! Show, and show well! Our yell, can You hear it out there? Find us in the dining room Parry; we bet You’ll easily be able to tell where.

Parry walked toward the hollering and as he entered the room, shockingly heard a roar! The roar sounded so fierce, and uplifting. It was a roar like he had never heard before!

We’re a rare group of spirits Parry, as the friendly face of a bear smiled and winked. All of us approaching You today have concern that your family may come to be extinct.

It’s horrible that your sister was stolen, just to be someone else’s pet. But someone like You may persuade for her to be sent back. It could happen, we’d bet.

Parry stood solemnly in silence, as he looked down at the wooden floor. Knowing of reason for their endangerment was deforestation; he looked up at the door.

At times he would forget all about that, but always knew the games were on Channel 2. His mom’s response to being part of the problem was, Do You want us to live in a zoo?

A guilty conscious was overcoming Parry, so he made his way outside. He thought about all of the homeless Macaws, some of which had died.

What could be done, he wondered. Would the world never wake up, as he feared? His sister use to squawk in a flock about it downtown, mysteriously she disappeared.

Parry went to Miss MacCawNamara’s house to get started, though may not finish today. There was a new fence needing to be put up, but a large tree stump was in the way.

With him he brought every tool he thought he’d need, with an idea of what it may take. Chainsaw, sawzall, shovels, trash bag, mattock, and rake; for his snack, a nice piece of carrot cake.

He took a photo before starting to have along an after, to advertise his quality of works. Examples for future clients would help to build a successful business, one with perks.

As Parry got started he looked up to see Miss MaCawNamara on the porch drawing. He was somewhat bashful for her to be drawing him digging and sawing.

Parry had seen some of her work at the school; she was a teacher and very good artist. He wished he had studied art and music there, his choices were not the smartest.

The stump to be removed was previously a tree, but the job they didn’t complete. Parry agreed to finish the task, and leave the area nice and neat.

He cut the stump up in chunks and pieces, using his tools like a pro. Then appeared the friendly faces and voices; Parry was supported, they’d let him know.

There were spirits of a bear and a chipmunk until it was turned upside-down.

Then when done so there appeared a chipmunk and a man smiling, no signs of a frown.

At stages of cutting, formations showed up as honorable Native Americans that shared.

Spirits showed as primitives, and teddy bears carrying their puppies who were scared.

Parry asked a spirit if it was OK, and permission was granted, because him they did trust. In the garage as he was sawing a sliver to share, an extra-terrestrial formed in the dust.

The ET spoke to Parry and told him to take pictures, and these pictures try not to lose. Then go for gum without sugar; from your guides come blessings, for You they choose.

Parry didn’t know what to say. It had already been such an incredibly blessed day. He had done some bad things in his life, and felt awkward being treated this way.

Parry went out for a break, and saw a new house being constructed across the street. He saw a worker saw wood, then throw away half boards and at times half of a sheet!

All of a sudden, he ran to look in the dumpster and an idea came to Parry’s mind. They used trees for a person’s new house; why not build for macaws, of similar kind?

In the small amount of time Parry had worked construction, he noticed a LOT of waste. Thinking he could use other’s trash to build macaws new homes, had him happy faced.

He ran to the store for the sugar free gum, then got to work and chewed every one. Each piece he chewed, he sat to the side. Later they greeted him, truth they didn’t hide.

There is magic all around You Parry. Do something with it please. Use what Spirit has shown You, helping others will be a breeze.
