An Unexpected Phone Call
There is nothing more joyous than starting your day in the right way. I don't have work today but I do have a mammogram later, which I don't think anyone will ever say is something to look forward to. However, I am not the sort of person to let the prospect of an uncomfortable boob squashing set the tone of her day as this appointment is just a part of it.

Perseverance Pays Proficiency
Whew! The first week of NaNo is over, and you've either developed the worst case of carpal tunnel known to mankind, or you feel like good ol’ Charlie Brown’s doppelgänger; like no matter how hard you try, you just can’t win. Most likely, you’re somewhere in between.

How to Change Your Self-Image
Disclaimer: To all who want to comment, "your self worth should come within," please refrain. It's not an overnight process & internalized criticisms skew our thoughts. Seeing the reality that you are loved is a step towards increasing your self worth.

I Only Allow That Which Is Good Into My Life. Content Warning.
I only allow that which is good into my life... This is true for me...now. It took me a long time to get to a point in which I can say, I only allow what is good into my life. I spent a long time allowing things that were not good for me into my life. So long in fact, that I did not know how to filter the bad out. Or that I even could filter out the bad. I had no clue that I could choose what came into my life.

The Small Stuff. Content Warning.
Grab a coffee (or tea) and a moment and have a read because this is a bit of a long one, which was unexpected. Come with me into the small stuff - the detritus of Life - as I speculate on why it's as important (if not more so) than the big stuff.

A conversation between Motivation and Creativity
On a bright and beautiful sunlit morning's eve, two heartfelt realities faced each other joyfully. Hope filled their souls as they sat on this peace filled daylight lit balcony. Both had come here early, to this lovely place, fully expecting greatness to pour from their fingertips, as they prepared to compose and entice fanciful creations of pure, lucid, intoxicating awe and wonderment.

Well, Whadaya Know - the Big Five-Oh (Oh, Oh)
What I'm Doing Here The subject of Vocal milestones came up in a comments conversation with my friend across the pond, Paul Stewart a few days ago. In that discussion, we both mentioned that we had one "right around the corner." Neither of us gave anything away at the time, but I'm going to put mine out there today, and I'm late in doing so.

The Secret to Achieving Your Goals: Don't Tell Anyone
OK... Want to hear a whacky theory that will change the way you view life? Of course you do, that's why you're reading. It’s a simple idea that I’m going to make even more simple by using cartoons, just like a very serious person would do in a Ph.D. paper. Probably.

I had no purpose
~AUTHOR'S NOTE: I did not write this piece with the intention of being included in any contest or category...I simply, truly felt compelled to share this message. SO, I apologize if it does not meet appropriate guidelines but I did categorize it to the best of my "feeling" at the time! Finally, there may be misspellings, punctuation errors and more (which I usually CRINGE HEAVILY at) but this was written from the heart, so none of that matters...

How to Move to a City You Don’t Want to Move to
Three weeks ago, me and my soulmate moved home. Though sometimes it feels more like a wholesome Air BnB owned by somebody who has pinched all of our belongings and filled it with our existential innards, rather than “home.”
