Self help, because you are your greatest asset.
An art and a medicine
Art has a therapeutic quality associated with it. Growing up I appreciated arts, and participated in many different forms, including ceramics, scrapbooking, sewing, and baking. When I was younger, these crafts allowed me to connect with myself and others in a similar way that my sister could with sports. But, as I grew older, baking provided me with a much deeper value, than just a mere connection to myself and others. Last March, making pies gave me the healing and happiness I so desperately needed and longed for after being sexually assaulted; this type of connection with a craft cannot be fabricated.

In a Perfect World
When you’re a kid, the possibilities of what you’re going to do in the future are endless and exciting, but it isn’t until you get older and the reality of those dreams you once held sinks in and all of a sudden seems a million miles away from you. Sometimes as adults, we wish we could still see through the eyes of a child, in which we could gaze upon the world in such a more positive light, if only it were that easy to access the kid within again. In a perfect world, my passion for dance, specifically contemporary and ballet would have me travel all throughout the world to perform in many different theatres and dwellings, bringing joy to all onlookers and a mystical wonder to the children who witness me perform.

What fulfills me
Writing or singing fulfills me hoping one day to become an author . They say dreams come true , but honestly the way things come true or happens is by people you know and knowing what they do. Doing things on your own will never be so easy like some people make it seem. I tried for singing , I was told I have to be a certain image to make it in the music industry and sex sells. That was a slap to my face because in their eyes 👀 I’m not sexy enough or beautiful enough . The world can be so cruel and throw out many hurts only if you let them. When I was turned down for singing I tried for modeling to, they said that it wasn’t for me try acting because you have to be a certain weight to fit in what they want you to wear. Oh my another slap in my face, so now all the dreams I had went down the drain. Now I don’t know what I can do because everything I wanted to do I don’t fit. Yes it’s hurtful that world 🌎 is so judgmental and don’t go on talent but go with looks and body type. The people can be so mean and ugly towards you not caring if they hurt your feelings to your face. Just imagine the laughter and talking behind your back. If I was like I used to be coming up I wouldn’t know how to except rejection, but when you love yourself and what you stand for it doesn’t matter what people say about you. Meaning I couldn’t follow my dreams I decided to take another route and that’s to go back to school for criminal justice not only to learn how the world operates but also to earn income meaning I’m doing what I have to just to make ends meet. My life hasn’t been easy but all I’ve experienced has been a learning situation for me. I teach my children never stop believing in yourself and let no one tell you that you’re not good enough to be what you want out of life. Keep pushing and striving until you get where you’re going. Singing didn’t work out, modeling didn’t work out so all I have left is writing and telling my story. Many people that are successful either knew someone or had help getting started. It take support to make it in this world and if you have no one supporting you or investing in you I hate to say it but you will not have a shot. The generation today don’t know what it means to work, and take care of each other. All they know is violence and taking from others what they work so hard to get. I ask myself every day what will it take for us to stop the hurt 😢, and the killing in the streets. The answer to that is better parenting and less rewards. By that I mean stop giving these kids awards for any little thing just to keep them out your hair and start discipline them when they don something you never agreed with. Let them know right from wrong and tell them for every wrong thing you do their will be consequences for your actions. It all start at home first, so be careful on what you say and do at all times. You are the first role model your children looks up to and their guidance when they need you to be. To every question or problem is always a solution. It is your choice on how you want to live and what you want to achieve. The people of the world can’t make you live only you can. Never give in or give up on your dreams they always will have something out there that is meant for you. I’m to the age where I have no time to chase any more dreams because people like what they like and choose whomever they want. They may say they are not judging you but to be honest everyone is judgmental and will always have an opinion about you. Never change who you are to please anyone because that means you’re not being real to yourself and what you stand for. Love yourself and always be true to yourself and what you stand for.

The Perfect Formation
My hand glides from one line to the next. Jumping between different subjects and ideas. The repetitive scratches provide me with comfort. As my feelings are gently carved onto the pages, a small piece of my heart is left behind. The ink acts as a current that is in continuous flow. Sometimes fast and sometimes slow. A silent passion… where voices can only be heard in the reader's mind. Never knowing what I sound like, but still able to hear what is being said. Everything is left up to the imagination. My creation has the power to reverse judgement. It opens up space for you to see what is on the inside before you have the chance to judge the outside. My passion makes very little noise but will make a big impact, and that is why I love to write.

Transforming Women's Lives
I received my first calling to help women after my marriage of over twenty years ended. I woke up in the middle of the night with the idea of creating a space for women to connect, learn, and grow. A year later, as I was working on that plan, I received a second, more pressing call after a fluke medical incident that almost took my life and my leg. I survived the emergency surgery, and three days later I received a second miracle when my leg came back to life before the surgeon could amputate. During my long recovery, the calling turned into my purpose, and I knew I wanted to help women overcome the obstacles life threw at them, find the message in life’s messes, and triumph over tragedy, as I had done.

Sun and Rain
I have a friend who recently acquired a collection of succulents. They're known for having "modest requirements" but like any plant they can change their minds at any time and start going downhill. She was discouraged to find they were shedding leaves not long after she got them and reached out on social media for help.

I don't care anymore
Trying to figure out where you fit in this world can be difficult. Thinking about it, it started for me when I was in middle school. Everyone having conversations about the opposite sex or the size of their bust. Meanwhile I'm over here reading "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret." by Judy Blume.

Passion of Purpose
Imagine if you had a magic kaleidoscope that allowed you while peering into it and turning slowly the pieces intertwined coming into focus to reveal a look back at your life as a series of moving shapes, and intersecting memories with flashes of lights, colors, and vibrations. As you turn the kaleidoscope, you notice your bodily sensations start reacting, your skin starting to tingle, and goosebumps rise on your arms. The hair on your arms shift, and chill sensations are prompted, as your senses continue to heighten. The more of your life that you see, the greater the depth of your gratitude. You start to actually FEEL the projections that you are viewing from your life and CONNECT with them on a SOUL level so deeply that the experience is intense beyond anything that you have ever known. You get drawn into the kaleidoscope as if you are immersed in it.

24 Grown-Up Things to Do Before You Grow Up
I’m 25 tomorrow. May 30th 2021, marking the title sequence to my quarter life crisis. And man, it’s going to be epic. I’m 24 for one more sunrise, sunset combo, and that’s it. I have one final chance of being the same age as there are hours in a day, and days, much like this chapter of my life, come to an end. So I’ve decided to compile a list of 24 things that I can do today, right now and for the rest of my forever, to ensure that it’s not just each chapter of my life that’s a good one — but each passing page.
