The Truth About Endings
During a recent hiking endeavor, I had a moment of clarity. I usually do in these situations. The trail came with many challenges; a hard map to navigate through, trails that intertwined and looped within one another, and rocky pathways. It tested me to the point where I was complaining to myself quite a bit. It was just five miles, but it felt much longer. Generally, I enjoy the scenery and quietness of the great outdoors, but this round had me praying for a knockout. I was ready to quit.

My little inspiration
A tear ran down my cheek that night as the clouds began to form for an upcoming storm. The amazing memories which I had experienced thanks to the beauty of this country had found a special place in my heart; especially with my little revelation beside me for the first time. Yet despite the feeling of melancholy, a smile grew upon my face as I held my little inspiration for what I knew would be the last time for years.

Job Satisfaction is Rare For Most People.
There are a lot of folks that went into their professional lives following their passion. Because of their desire to be of service to others, they chose a line of work that, while it may have seemed like a good idea at the time, ultimately did not enable them to provide for their families financially.

How to Lose Weight and Keep It Off
Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight can feel like an uphill battle at times. There are so many competing fads, diets, rules, and recommendations out there that it’s hard to know what piece of advice you should take as gospel and what is just another passing gimmick. A weight loss plan that works for one person may not be the best choice for another. Furthermore, different people have different needs based on their lifestyle and personal preferences. Some people prefer a slow but steady approach to calorie restriction while others thrive on high-intensity interval training. Some people also need encouragement in addition to education about how to diet effectively. With that being said, there are certain universal truths about weight loss that apply almost universally across the board. These tips won’t guarantee success for everyone who follows them, but they are definitely good things to keep in mind if you’re trying to shed some pounds.

My Mind Matters to me
I am about to have my 57th hospital admission at my local private hospital and am 44 years old. I have had more operations than years on this earth and live in controlled chaos, surviving enormous adversity across EVERY facet of my life. I have spent most of my adult life proving that a positive mindset and consciously choosing to adapt and evolve have given me the drive and determination to keep going.

Failing Forwards
The final frontier has never been something I was super interested in. Sure, the concept is cool, and I do not mind passively learning about it, but it wouldn’t be something I would personally go out of my way to study. But, half of my family is absolutely obsessed with space. Because of this, we’ve gone on vacations to see every Saturn IV, have model rockets in our house, and have a bunch of memorabilia with the iconic quote “failure is not an option” on it. I’ll often jokingly complain about finding it boring, but I’ve always gone along with it for the most part.
