Luck And Opportunities
As a kid, I wished a lot and when these wishes did not magically get granted I would get furious at everything, throw tantrums and get depressed. As I grew into teenagerhood, upon reflecting on my actions I would laugh at my childhood self. The memories however did not go away, rather they got even sharper and clearer.

What magic lay in the cookie!
The population of North America (Canada in this writer’s case) in the modern age is one that surprisingly believes in magic in the most traditional and ancient sense possible: witches placing hexes and removing curses upon families, people coming under the influence of demonic possessions, cleansing tools and grimoires that can be purchased online. Yet I think to myself now, what about the ancient ways of survival, where people knew seemingly forever how long to cook something to get the highest caloric intake, the different ways to cook things like eggs, and how to make so many amazing and differing varieties of cheeses from various different animals as examples - is that not magic to ponder and let the mind wander and wonder about?

Mentally Moved
Some of us mature early because life shows us the worst side of the world at an early age. ( Infamous act). I know all too well about seeing the worst parts of the world, which is also why I have matured much earlier than the average person. I do not pretend to know everything because I don’t but at the same time, what I do know is this: if you find yourself in a mental state of dysfunction, then try to dig yourself out of it; this alone can be challenging. I have found that the best way to rest your mind on positive things is to show graduate for what you already have and keep it moving.

Life As It Goes By...
Her brother asked, how it was doing so far as they were driving home from her workplace. He realises she is lying when she claims things are going well. He eventually stops the vehicles and turns to face her. He queries the situation. The girl sobs and tells him that two nights earlier, she had planned to commit suicide. He comforts her with a hug and tells her that things will get better. They resumed driving while playing some gospel music. They hear noises coming from the front while they are driving. He assures her that it is unimportant and that she should not worry.

The Power of Optimism
As a life coach and addictions advisor, I teach people how to manifest their dreams. It's easier than it seems as just two years ago I was on the verge on homelessness, and I now live in an affluent suburb with a book that is about to be published. My clients tell me that people gravitate toward me because of my optimism. I also provide hope during these dystopian times. These two attitudes have allowed me to go far in life.

Between Realities
Disclaimer: It has been 5 years since I wrote this. I had just birthed my son and returned to work. Fast forward to now... It has gotten better. I'm not 100 percent myself but with a lot of work and support from my family I am still on the mend. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
