Others Have Seen What Is and Asked Why, I Have Seen What Could Be and Asked Why Not
In order to fully understand what is meant by this quote, first we must examine the basic distinction between what is being asked by the question “Why?” and what is being asked by the question “Why Not?” After that, we’ll examine the two questions and their meaning as they apply to the here and now vs. the future. Finally, we’ll look at the form of knowledge each of these questions represents in terms of what is real, concrete and actual vs. what is abstract or speculative in nature.

Things I'm Passionate About Part 14
Welcome to Part 14 of this series! 1. Restaurants I love dating, going out, hanging out with my friends and family, and trying all kinds of new foods and drinks. I love going to restaurants, pubs, and bars and seeing how they make steaks, or other kinds of meat I enjoy. I like expanding my pallet and life’s experience on different kinds of culinary masterpieces. I love sharing these experiences with other people and doing what I can to help businesses I enjoy thrive in the free market. My plans for this are to begin going through different restaurants, franchises or not, and sampling their menus, as healthfully as I can or not, and being a total foodie loser snapping pictures and writing reviews of dishes, drinks, ambiance, cleanliness, service and more. I’m going to start with my small town on the west coast of Canada and expand outward as time and travelling allows me. It’s probably not the best time to start something like this with the lockdowns going on, but I think there’ll be more than enough to write about even just in my town for a good long time.

Things I'm Passionate About Part 11
My passions Part 11, I’m trying to group these together more instead of making them so broad. Enjoy! 1. Metaphysics Metaphysics are the things that cannot be determined though objective measurements of the physical universe. In parapsychological circles, it’s the study of “science” or pseudo-science that encompasses supernatural phenomena, i.e. psychic powers, ghosts, mediumship, and the like. My interest in this spawned as a kid because what kid doesn’t love the idea of psychic powers or hearing ghost stories, especially ones that ACTUALLY HAPPENED!? My family and I used to experiment with Zener cards and telepathy games with some remarkably interesting results, though mom never let us play with Ouija boards because of an old family anecdote that scared the heck out of her. Once I got older and became a scientist, my interest didn’t wane at all, it got stronger. I found that I had become something of a debunker, but not in the sense that I was proving things to not be “real” or people to be charlatans, but more in the sense that the real magic, to me, was In explaining how these phenomenon could work, or be mistaken to work, based on the physical laws of the real-world and the exploits in human psychology. We’re amazing at fooling ourselves. For this topic, I’m going to be writing down my personal anecdotes and experiments, my suppositions for explaining how popular phenomena could work, and analyses of different cases amongst other things.

5 Ways to Find the Silver Lining
2020, what a dumpster fire, right? Life always takes twists and turns but damn this year has us on a roller coaster of a mess. The pandemic has changed nearly every aspect of life as we know it and politics have pitted family members against family members while racism soared to the point of protests, riots and talks of defunding the police.

Body Movement
Just imagine sitting at a park, the day is like no other as the sun beams through the leaves on the highest tree at just the right angle to light up the space your sitting in. People walking around and sharing some of the most pleasant smiles and gestures to let each other know “oh your fine it’s okay” and “thank you” It’s super bright out, people are bright with bright colors on. Nothing can distract this perfect day. But wait, as you look along the path where people are moving you see someone walking at a slower speed. As they get closer you notice they have different colors on, darker skin, a beat in each step almost as if time is creating a space for them to enter your reality for that moment. Time stops and you realize the experience you are having in observing this individual is also like no other, just like your day. It’s different.

The Truth is
The truth is we reach a point where we know who we are, what we want and what we deserve and we’re not willing to go back to selling ourselves short again. We’re not willing to repeat the same vicious cycle of handing out our hearts to those who don’t know how to catch them. The truth is we reach a point where our self love trumps any other love. We choose ourselves even when people don’t choose us.
