Compliments Are Contagious
When was the last time you complimented a stranger? Excluding that time you were drunk in the club bathroom and you really loved that girl's shoes. Not counting complimenting customers at work to adhere to friendly service standards. But a time when you were out in public, doing your own thing, and just complimented someone you crossed paths with. It may take you awhile to remember- prior to writing this article I realized that I am guilty of not doing this very often.

The Very Nature of Life
There once was a kind-hearted and generous farmer who labored day and night, producing corn for many of the neighboring towns. During the winter, although he did not produce corn, he would walk his corn fields, checking the soil and patiently waiting on the next growing season. He looked forward to the days when the corn would sprout. It gave him a sense of accomplishment he only would feel when seeing the green sprouting from the soil. It was new life at its finest.

Wellness Focus
It’s the middle of January already, and I won’t lie, I am still trying to definitively wittle down my list of New Year goals. Let’s face it, last year was difficult for us all, and entering the new year was very different from the years that came before. Although, it may feel like the same old bad news day in, day out, I don’t think we should allow ourselves to feel deflated by our lack of oomph for 2021.

The Importance of Play During A Pandemic
Play is important - even essential. During this pandemic we have learned so much about social distancing. We have separated ourselves from those who love; our friends and loved ones miss us. But in 2021 I remind you to play!

Done. Perfect! You promote the crap out of your story, posting it on Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, you name it! Then, announcement day rings around and...you don't win. You didn't even place.

3 Ways to Seriously Improve Your Gratitude Practice
If gratitude and I had a relationship status, it would simply be "It's Complicated." Here's why. When's the last time you were feeling lost, or down, and someone told you to look at the bright side? Maybe they said "Hey, could be worse, right?" How did that make you feel? Stop and think about it for a minute.

3 Steps To Jump Over Failure
Being an ambitious citizen of the society, I always try to stretch myself in various ways to become the best version of myself. However, my strong determination to success constantly requires me to put myself out there. To attempt and chase all competitions, scholarships and opportunities. I know they won't wait for me, so if I want to succeed, I need to be the one to take the test. Thus, I am not only always put to the test but also constantly receiving either a failure or success letter. I stare at the email enclosing my result…. Count to 10 with a breath between each consecutive number…. And I click! There, right in the middle of all the fluff, is the answer.

Before You Can Train Your Body
I know it sounds cliché, but there is truth to the majority of the cliché's you read daily. For example, "You are what you eat," is undeniably true. Just ask anyone who's diet was full of high fat and high carbs, that just had a heart attack. The doctor will advise them to avoid some or most of the foods they ate before because those foods made their arteries fatty and their body overweight for their frame. So they become like the animals that eat vegetables and live accordingly. This way of living helps them live longer and have a more livable life. Such is true with the saying, "Before you can train your body, you must train your mind." A person's mental view of a thing determines how they react to, act, or treat a thing. If you are aware of how you think of a thing, you can easily choose how to feel about it. Take for instance, the person we just spoke of. They are now required to eat predominantly vegetables and fruits. If this person has a childhood love of cookies and candy that followed them until adulthood, this will be more difficult even when faced with a dire situation. They may start eating the right foods for them in the beginning of their healthy journey, but they slowly reintroduce sweets and other mentally satisfying foods that do not agree with their body. And as time goes by, they end up eating the same or more of the foods that caused them the heart attack the first time. And the course for them, may end of the same as before or worse. But if they choose to first view how they loved sweets as a time of immaturity where they were unaware of what their body needed; they may begin to choose different. That first step is the hardest, where you have to take responsibility for your actions. And if those actions started as a youth, it can be even more difficult. But with time and practice, it can be accomplished. But as for our example person, they do not stop there. They also begin to read health inspired books and take a few classes that they enjoy, inviting friends to go along with them. They indulge in other types of treats including massages and other stimulating gifts. Before you know it, they are excited about exercising three times a week, eating a more balanced diet and being social with people who enjoy being healthy as well. The people that dine at restaurants with them are also eating a healthy diet and they converse about the different foods they like to eat. They are also able to keep each other accountable which is a great tool to have as a resource. That is now their new norm. Choosing to look at how we view something mentally first can help you break any type of negative habit you may have formed even as a child. That is why it pays to be aware of how you think. You can do this simply by jotting down notes, reading books that you enjoy and participating in activities that keep your mind mentally fit. You can also do as our example friends and find new friends that enjoy doing what you’re trying to do. They will keep you motivated to continue your path. So, while you may not agree with using cliché’s every time, they pop up on your social media feed, try to see if they hold truth, like this one here. It might be the difference between living a normal life that could be great or living a healthy life as opposed to being unhealthy. If you’re interested in finding ways to help clear the mental cobwebs of the past, read Take Me As I Am by Kiamani Robey on Amazon today. Happy writing till we meet again. I digress.

Infinite
How does any of this exist? We exist as human beings because that is precisely what we are: pure consciousness. At times, even the body and mind feel separate from what truly makes up humanity. There is no way we are as useless as some would like to think. Everyone seems so individually and uniquely connected to something greater than themselves. There are so many points to be made, yet the focal point of this subject is that life must never be overlooked.
