Time To Take Control
You may find yourself asking, "Why me?" when something in your life turns troubling. I have always asked myself this question, until one day something dawned on me. Life is always going to happen to us, no matter what. There is no precaution in life, you just have to flow with it. Plans are not meant to stick. I was doing online college courses in the fall of 2019. I was in a toxic relationship struggling to finish assignments already, then COVID-19 became present in all of our lives. All classes became online through Zoom, but it had became far too much far too early. I quit. I have been mad at myself for so long, but then it hit me. I can go back to school. Nothing is stopping me, just myself. The past couple of weeks, I have seen countless Graduation posts all over every social media one can own. That would have been me, if I had just stuck it through and never gave up. I thought to myself, this also could have been me next year, and the year after. Yet, I moped around and never thought, "Hey, there's always next year." I held myself back for so long, purely based on how I reacted to life. I am in control, no one else.

Can I Experiment On Myself?
I am going to be both Pavlov and Pavlov’s dog. I’ve been interested in the development of good habits for a while. I’ve read some of the best “self-help” type books I can get my hands on, and I’m ready to try to work on my writing habit by combining two somewhat related techniques. I’m sure I’m not the first to try this, I’m just hoping it works out for me.

Why you won't ever find happiness
Social media has infiltrated deep into our society and our minds. It's inevitable that we pick up our phones and go into our social media apps - wether that be Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, etc. We see others with amazing backdrops in the Bahamas, remote Islands, foriegn countries, etc. We can't seem to stop ourselves from comparing us - the individual that we are - to others and put a mirror up against them using our phones as a gate to hell. In our modern world, it's hard to find that happiness, that state of bliss - a sense of quiet in our lives. But, life goes on. We tell ourselves that today might be the day that we get log off, but it's hard. All our friends, famillies, acquanities, they're all online. Everythign nowadays have gone virutal and it's hard not picking up our phones and going to hell. We won't ever find the happiness that we're looking for. A study done by Instagram has shown that teens are becoming more depressed and have an overall negative effect on how we see our bodies. It's hard being connected with people virutally all the time. But, that's what our modern life has become. A meaningless shell trying to mimic what real life relationships are like. Soon, it won't even be a stretch to say that we will see other people face-to-face at all with creations like the metaverse trying to become a reality. We've grown distant to one another wanting to have food delivered to us, stuff shippped to us, and seeing each other through our phones. We don't ever truelly go outside and see others face-to-face and smile to each other. Happiness has disappeared virtually along with all the human emotions that we as humans felt for one another. Is there a solution to this?

My Journey to Getting a Literary Agent
Some writers write a book, query that book, get a literary agent, and a book deal faster than you can say Jack Robinson. And I can genuinely be so happy for them because that’s their journey and how it was supposed to happen for them! Not for me.

You're awesome. So collect evidence to prove it.
It’s been a while since I read The Book of Awesome But last week I really needed it. I’d written a short feature for a magazine, and it came back with edits from the person who had commissioned it. They were all perfectly reasonable requests, and I did them.
