On the road to change

Small ways to change your life forever

By Vicki L WebbPublished 5 years ago 3 min read
Small Changes equal a life of satisfaction and growth.

There are many reasons for change. For some it is a way to shake things up a bit. People become bored with their lives and change brings about excitement. For others it is to keep up with what the most recent popular celebrity is doing. There are then others who change to get a spouse or to be in a relationship or gain new friends. Whenever any of these things or anything like them; are the reason for change, it will only be a superficial change. This is a surface only change, what people can see, sort of change. These changes are destined to fail . These are short lived. They never really take root and it is probably better that they do not take root, as they can be poisonous and toxic. These are immature reasons for change that will only give more need for a real and deeply rooted change to occur.

We all have a purpose and there is a call for us to have a renewing of our minds, instead of just walking around blindly doing what others are doing.Purpose is not even clear many times without change .Wanting a life of value and worth, is used to activate change and we need something different to occur to help us to walk in our purpose. If we have things clogging our minds and old habits guiding our daily experiences, we can't simultaneously live in our purpose. So now knowing this, we see that change is a must if we want to live our best lives.

This is a process, not an event. There are goals to be set. Also there has to be action plans to go with each of the goals.

Doing things differently is a choice. It is a daily decision to instill new actions. These habits become more permanent changes. So in other words it doesn't all happen at once, it happens at a gradual pace. Please be patient with yourself. Stop and think about what types of choices would be in your best interest. Take a moment, pause and listen for an answer coming from within. Use this instinct and you will not be led astray. Usually if there is something that we really want , we don't want to wait for it. Therefore words like gradual, pause and listen are ones that we don't want to hear, much less, actually use.

Meditate daily

If you are really tired of living day to day in the same old way. Not having the impact on life that you were clearly meant to have, then it is time to go deeper. If you want to begin living in your purpose and walking in the life plan for you, then it is time for a renewing of your mindset. Change should be next on your list of things to do.

Changing your outlook on life and everything in it, is worth the wait, it is worth every step of the process. Parts of the process are forgiveness, this must happen in order to move forward and grow. Filling our minds with positive thoughts instead of negativity. This wonderful piece of the process could very well save your life.

Another vital part of change is developing good habits. This is just a start we must also add in daily practices and patience with ourselves. There may be some slip-ups and falling back into our old ways. Don't beat yourself up.Always be kind and gentle with yourself. Change brings with it, the ability to have life and have it more abundantly. This is exactly how your life should be fulfilled. Keep moving forward and don't give up.

Remember the outcome is worth the process. Love ya, Vicki
