On the road to change
There are many reasons for change. For some it is a way to shake things up a bit. People become bored with their lives and change brings about excitement. For others it is to keep up with what the most recent popular celebrity is doing. There are then others who change to get a spouse or to be in a relationship or gain new friends. Whenever any of these things or anything like them; are the reason for change, it will only be a superficial change. This is a surface only change, what people can see, sort of change. These changes are destined to fail . These are short lived. They never really take root and it is probably better that they do not take root, as they can be poisonous and toxic. These are immature reasons for change that will only give more need for a real and deeply rooted change to occur.

Is anxiety holding you back ?
I had been trying to blog for weeks. In my previous blog (some weeks before) I had written about being ready. I was on the edge and more that ready to move on and be the success that life intended for me to be. I ask you what is it then ,that after such fire about getting out there and doing "what I need to do" ,that makes me sit and not move forward. Was it that I just cooled off? Was I just having a moment and got over it all just as quickly as I was set into motion? I readily blamed it on sheer procrastination. Instead of actually doing the work of moving forward with my blogging, or writing my sermon, or doing homework;I would sit and sit and think and think ,but not DO anything productive.I came up with strategies, wrote out plans, talked about it and even began many of my projects but never finishing anything. This sounded to me like the classic symptoms of procrastination or just laziness even.

Are You the One ?
I love this world and all the people in it.Many of us lead busy and I think we may have gotten so busy trying to get ahead , working on our goals, and making sure that we are OK with all that is going on, that it becomes easy to say that we do not have the time. The only way that each of us, individually, will be well is that if all of us are well, collectively. There are symptoms of the need all around us.The symptoms are seen in our families, in the lives of friends and also our neighbors. So many from all walks of life are being engulfed by anxiety, poverty, brokenness and now a health crisis. We as a society actually care about one another and are concerned with the rising number of people that are in need. We just have to be mindful that the solution involves genuinely take time with one another in a more tangible way.
