Excuses—The Cancer of Success
Innovation is an ongoing necessity in any culture, and I find that innovators all across the world are making a difference every day. Sadly more than ever I find myself exchanging knowledge with great minds who claim to be entrepreneurs, but never complete their vision. A true entrepreneur is more interested in solving a problem than gaining monetary results. The quandary most start-up "go-getters" face, is focusing on the imminent picture, versus what they are trying to accomplish in the long run. Instead of pivoting when adjustments are needed, it is easier to say, "I am not ready just yet."

Society's Forgotten
Yesterday, I went to a baseball game. It wasn’t any typical game; it was so much better. The thing is, it was better even though it didn’t have all the hits, home runs, RBI’s, and that game-saving catch. Those players and the community of people that surrounded were not something that you’d find at every game.

Finding Motivation
Think and reflect back on the past two years and your accomplishments. They can be big and/or small goals that you have completed. If you cannot pin point any specific accomplishments, pick one new goal you’d like to reach. The first step is to define your goals. Keep a list (like a to-do list) on a bulletin board, in your phone’s notes, or on a white erase board. When I started to do this, my goals became a reality! Why?! Because when we put our goals out there to the universe, and constantly remind ourselves visually, we have a constant driving factor towards completing these goals. It is easy to get wrapped up in our daily routines and forget our important goals.

The Power of an Idea
According to the University of Southern California’s Laboratory of Neuroimaging, the average person has about 70,000 thoughts per day. That is about 45 thoughts per minute, and 2,700 thoughts per hour. Most likely, 90 percent of those thoughts are focused on the day-to-day habits and responsibilities that we take upon ourselves out of necessity. Where we go to eat, where we go shop for food, what to clean, and how to clean it, and the need to brush, dress, and groom ourselves, so that we look presentable to the world. However, what makes us stand out as a species is our ability to pull a few ideas from these thousands of thoughts that end up changing the world in some measurable way.
