Dependency on someone to make us happy is a common occurrence in today's society. It's easy to fall into the trap of relying on another person to fulfill our emotional needs, but this can be a dangerous mindset to have. When we become dependent on another person, we give them the power to control our happiness. We also open ourselves up to the risk of heartbreak, disappointment and despair.

It is important to realize that we have the power to create our own happiness. We need to trust ourselves and our abilities, and not be afraid to be alone if necessary. We must learn to have a sense of independence, and be confident in our ability to handle whatever comes our way, whether that be heartbreak or triumph.

First, we must realize that we are capable of finding happiness within ourselves. It's important to cultivate hobbies and interests that bring us joy and fulfilment. Finding ways to be creative, whether through writing, art, or music, can be incredibly therapeutic and help us find happiness within ourselves. Engaging in physical activity can also be helpful, as exercise releases endorphins that make us feel good.

Additionally, cultivating healthy relationships that are based on mutual respect and support can be an excellent way to find happiness. Friends and family who are supportive and non-judgmental can help us feel loved and valued. We should seek out people who make us feel good about ourselves and who encourage us to pursue our goals.

We should also work on developing a positive mindset. It's important to focus on the good in our lives, even when things are difficult. We can practice gratitude by writing down things we are thankful for each day, and by expressing appreciation for the people and things we have in our lives. This helps shift our focus away from negativity and towards positivity, making it easier to find happiness.

It's also important to recognize that we are not obligated to stay in relationships that do not bring us happiness. When we become dependent on another person, we may feel trapped in a situation even if it is toxic or unhealthy for us. We need to acknowledge that we have the power to walk away from any situation that is not serving us. This can be difficult, especially if we have invested time and emotions into the relationship, but it is essential for our mental and emotional wellbeing.

The fear of being alone is a common reason why many people become dependent on their partners for happiness. But being alone can be a positive experience, allowing us the space to reflect on our lives and our priorities. We can use this time to focus on personal growth and development, and to cultivate new hobbies and interests. Being alone also allows us to focus on our own needs and wants, rather than constantly putting others first.

At the end of the day, it's important to remember that true happiness comes from within. We must learn to trust ourselves and our abilities, and not be afraid of being alone if necessary. We should focus on cultivating activities and relationships that bring us joy and fulfillment, and we should not be afraid to walk away from situations that are not serving us. When we have the confidence to be happy on our own, we have the power to create a life that is fulfilling and full of joy.
