Mindfulness and emotional intelligence is a conversation on its own, however, when combined, it creates a force to reckon with. Mindfulness is the technique of being fully present, paying attention to thoughts and feelings without judgment. Emotional intelligence is the capacity to perceive, manage, and harness emotion clearly. Together, mindfulness further enriches emotional intelligence by enhancing the level of internal state awareness. This enhanced self-awareness translated to more carefully considered reactions in my daily life. Whereas mindfulness hones focused awareness and presence, emotional intelligence provides the means to process emotions more effectively, enabling a balanced approach that promotes resilience and empathy, as well as more rewarding interpersonal relationships.
