Overcoming Apprehensiveness to Your Fitness Journey
You might be reading this because you’ve thought about working out, but you don’t know when, where, or even how to begin. You might want to work on getting healthier, and maybe even stronger, but there’s a little voice telling inside saying you’re not ready. Am I right? Sure, there’s probably a lot more to it.

How to Get Fit at Home Without Equipment in 3 Steps
Some people love the gym, and that's great for them. Personally, I can't stand it. First of all, I hate all the logistics that are involved. It feels like I spend twice as much time getting to and from the gym as I do actually working out in it.

Fitness Does Not Guarantee Health. Health Does Not Guarantee Fitness.
So you consider your self to be fit, you consider yourself to be healthy. But having one does not necessarily ensure the other. I have been a fitness and well being coach/personal trainer for 15 years and have seen and heard it all about loosing weight, gaining muscle, increasing physical performance, nutrition and supplements, longevity strategies and overall well-being both physically and mentally.

Potentially pointless products I purchased!
While being in lockdown (part 3 for the UK), I'm spending way too much time surveying the internet and being tempted by products that I probably don't need. It is becoming a problem and probably an addiction. I'm freely wasting away my money that I should be saving for my future, but I do feel that buying things regularly has made me happier and helped the days go by so, what the hell!

5 Ways to Have a Safe Workout
I’m just 1 person who works out a lot. It’s so important to make sure to consider safety when you do anything physical. I’ve made plenty of mistakes in the past, like blowing out both knees at a trampoline park and having to do physical therapy for months. Here’s a helpful article from Men’s Journal about 15 Ways You Can Guarantee Yourself an Injury when working out. Don’t be one of those people. Work out smartly and safely. Below are some of my recommendations for being safe while getting fit. I admit to having violated at least two of these, so even those of us who work out regularly can always use a reminder.

Try This Winter Golf Drill During Covid to Keep Your Game Sharp
I was raised in a golf dome, spending my Saturdays surrounded by the clicking of golf balls off silicone grass. I rolled putts off the practice green, in between the grains of sand poured to keep it firm, and whacked balls into the hanging targets until calluses appeared on my palms. The exciting, addictive quality of the game focused me even at age 12, quickly spurring me through coaches and joining the competition at IJGA and MAJGT tournaments. A players’ academy, “The Players Service'' saw my potential and helped me to achieve a Division I scholarship at Winthrop University in South Carolina.

Is running in the water good exercise?
Is running in the water good exercise? Not only is it an excellent way to improve cardiovascular fitness and work on running form, but it also minimizes the impact on your joints. Plus, since the water provides resistance, aqua jogging is similar to running against the wind.

Staying Safe While Exercising at Home
The situation is different when you work out at home. Back at the gym, trainers and instructors monitor you and offer advice and corrective actions if you make a risky move. If the gym equipment breaks or doesn't work, you simply report it to the front desk.

Planning is Key
I am a perfectionist. Some would call me an overachiever. I like to be good at whatever it is I am doing. I have learned over the years that to be good at something, you have to have a good plan. I have also learned that it is so easy to get caught up in the planning and never make any progress. Planning for lasting change does not have to take a long time, but it does take a few key factors.

The Ride is Over!
Enough is enough! How many times am I going to "do better", "start tomorrow", "work on it", or "get my act together"? I will do good for a week or two; eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, and working out. Then, I slip. Something happens, like an ice storm that shuts the state down for a week, and I get lazy and complacent. I tell myself that I will start again tomorrow. Tomorrow will be "the day". The cycle continues to go on and on
