Good morning, Vocal Media community, and welcome to the June 23 edition of my Monday Morning Huddle! Today's inspiration comes from the bumblebee with messages pertinent to spiritual growth and development. Get ready to become blissfully busy with the buzzy energy of a bee.

Here are your keywords/phrases, ones to keep in mind this week as you go about your daily affairs: ability to overcome obstacles, hard work, resilience.

These words breathe bumblebee spiritual energy and are your keys to unlocking success during times of adversity. While success and adversity may seem like unlikely bedfellows, considering the following during trying times may be just what one needs to acquire their spiritual wings.

“Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway.”― Mary Kay Ash

Attributed to entrepreneur Mary Kay Ash ( Mary Kay Cosmetics), this phrase refers to a bumblebee's body in proportion to its wings. At a glance, a large body powered by little wings seems unlikely, yet the bee perseveres, making flight look like a magickal air dance.

Personally, as someone who's been called magick several times by my sister after not only overcoming obstacles, but coming out on the other side a little brighter, a little better, I am here to encourage anyone experiencing any hardship to adopt a bee's mind perspective.

Life throws us lemons, cliche but true, but don't allow it to make all things sour. Instead, embody the bumblebee, and learn to fly despite any perceived hindrance of "something too mighty." Disproportionate one, the bee too big for flight, given its tiny wings, flies with ease, always finding a flower.

Speaking of flower, sit with this one for a moment:

Look at my cover image featuring a bumblebee on a Carolina Rose, also known as Pasture Rose and Prairie Rose. Notice each image of my collage and how the bee appears to be determined with the task at hand: collecting pollen. Busy buzzing along, doing its thing, the bee is not distracted, not even by my hand gently moving the flower to capture clearer images.

Such a mighty fella compared to its wings, the bee completes its mission. In the last image of my collage, the bee flies, moving onto the next rose. Such sweet rewards, rewards born of hard work, and the bumblebee gets the work done.

Adding to spiritual meaning, heightening buzzy bee appeal, the Carolina Rose offers additional spiritual insight. Beauty, love, and resilience are her keepsakes, partnering with bee messenger energy on a journey of endurance, strength, and overcoming offset conditions.

Again, sit with the above-mentioned for a moment and consider parallels from your worldly walk, day-to-day challenges, and obstacles that feel too big to overcome.

Perhaps you are feeling lost in life's long list of earthly duties. Maybe, just maybe, one too many hurdles stand in your way, making you feel burdened and unable to pick yourself up.

Restrictions- Hindrances- Hardships- Barriers- Interferences- Snags in the road

All the things, situations, and circumstances blocking you from accomplishing, achieving, flourishing, prospering, triumphing, and so on...

I know, I know, obstacles can make one feel heavy with doubt, too heavy to move, never mind forward, up, and beyond, but just like our friend the bumblebee, there a little wings, little airfoils, little pinions, waiting to lift and carry you like an angel assisted flight plan.

How do you find these wings, these unseen to the naked eye but still ever-present appendages enabling you to fly?

Start with a simple task: afford yourself a sitdown, observing a bumblebee in motion. Watch the bee in action and playful mannerism with flower interaction as shown in my photo collage. Leave the world behind, all troubles, all overthan issues, woes, and things of the sort; just be with the bee.

OBSERVE, APPRECIATE, CONSIDER- observe actions and patterns, appreciate gifts of nature, consider the parallels in your human condition.

A time for peace, time to simply be, so you may become a better version of yourself.

Pair these additional bumblebee spiritual symbollisms with your wakeful eye:

  • Abundance & Prosperity
  • Community, Conservation & Cooperation
  • Fertility
  • Happiness
  • New beginnings
  • Nourishment
  • Self-trust

Discover a new perspective, affording oneself spiritual growth and development from a bee's eye view of the world. Find your wings, even if they are only small attachments to your physical form, because small discoveries made today are the greater epiphanies waiting on tomorrow's horizon.

Mayhap bumblebees shouldn't fly, at least from a human viewpoint, yet fly, indeed, they do. Aerodynamics- the study of the motion of air, particularly when affected by a solid object, and the odds defied by a blessing found in nature should compel, should inspire you to find like magick by looking into yourself, digging a little deeper.

Because you are here as a spiritual being meant to fly, overcome adversities, and yes, defy self-imposed odds!

I am new to your the huddle concept, but I just found this. As a gardener I learned a lot about bumble bees. I love all kinds of bees, if it wasn't for the bumble bees and the honey bees we wouldn't have the food we do. Thank you for posting this. I can't promise that I will be here every Monday, because I have made a commitment to myself that I would enter every single summer challenge and I have a ways to go. Great Story- Nicely Done!!!

I do enjoy your Monday morning huddle pieces so much - even if I seem to end up reading them on a Tuesday!?! I had no idea that bees were so aerodynamically challenged and I shall see them and appreciate them in a whole new light! Seriously though, I do appreciate your positivity and way of looking at the world. It is much needed now. All the best and have a great week.

Good morning, Marilyn (at least I hope it is when you read this comment). This is such a beautiful and uplifting page to your Monday Morning Huddle. Don't worry, your others were, too, but this one came at the right time. It's good advice to be like a bee and fly despite the odds, haha 💛 Also, I did not realise how far into June we are. This month has been a fast one 🤯

  • Awww, I had no idea they had tiny wings! It's so impressive that they still can fly. They definitely are so inspirational!

For some reason after reading your Huddle the word 'concentration' popped into my mind. The bee in intensely concentrating on his job as I do when writing. Good job.
