humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
30s. Female. Single. No Kids.
I’ve always pictured myself to be a mother. Since I was a little girl, I've imagined having two boys, but regardless of the gender or quantity, I just knew that my destiny would lead to motherhood. Everyone tells me that I would make a good mother and I have those natural motherly instincts. I have always felt through my intuition that there’s a little soul inside my heart waiting to meet me as insane as that may sound. But when you know, you know.

Good Deeds: A Sustainable Community Health Model. Second Place in Good Deeds Challenge. Top Story - January 2021.
Most of the time people react to the “I’ve been living in NYC” response with passive, aggressive or assuming remarks about New Yorker’s rough exteriors. The once safe icebreaker question now warrants an awkward, juggling response... see, while I expect to be slammed with cab doors while bike riding, triple slapped by weather, relationships and train times on the same day, I’ve been stunned by more “did that just happen, people are so beautiful” moments.

One Kind Gesture
My mom taught us that one act of kindness can brighten a person’s day. “You never know what a kind gesture can mean to someone. Hind Sighted
2020 was a rough year for most, from riots to pandemics. From battling oppression and adversity, to battering each other just to have a fresh square to "un-soil" yourself in times of need. A Detour on Christmas Eve
I figured out why no one likes me. There’s a phenomenon called the Ben Franklin Effect: if you ask someone for a favor, they’re apt to like you, even more so than if you do something to help them. I don’t ask for favors. It’s uncomfortable. It makes me feel weak.

Slip Up
It is currently the peak of the winter season. Endlessly cold days followed by even colder nights, barely any sunlight and freezing temperatures. Not exactly everyone’s favourite. What winters cold, brutal weather also brings is ice, slush and snow. An abundance of this weather makes driving conditions very dangerous, hence why the number of road accidents rises in winter.
