humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Immortality, Fantasy and Reality
Do you know that human beings are delusive thinkers? We do not realise that we live in a hypnotic world. Our thinking process is hypnotic. The words we use in our minds have a conditioned response in the subconscious mind. The meaning of the words does not matter, but they generate real feelings. The subconscious mind is like a piano, and the words we use are the keys on the piano keyboard. They produce a specific sound. Twenty-four hours a day, we play a tune on this keyboard, and most people have no idea how their mind works.

Being Somebody's Brittany
I have worked from the inside out with mental health. I was once a juvenile patient four different times between the ages of fourteen to seventeen years old. All for suicidal thoughts and attempts. Between the ages of nineteen and twenty years old, I had three more visits to psychiatric hospitals before it seemed like my brain snapped itself into place and I could magically handle life without being psychiatrically inpatient at a mental health facility.

Consumed
The familiarity of my surroundings appears the same as it has always been. The trees decorating the entrance into the building. The brick walls showing signs of aging but still holding strong. The gentle silence of the night glistening as the stars come into alignment. Everything remains stagnant as the day before, however a piece is missing. Though nothing is out of place, a darkness lurks about. Daytime begins to feel like it is going at snail’s pace, yet the days go by so quickly. A blink of an eye and the month has gone by. Seeming as if I am living in slow motion, somehow, life has been fast forwarded.

On Writing
I’ve done so much research and digging into what it takes to become a successful author. Whether it be blogging, journalism, novels, memoirs, what have you, I’ve read extensively about it. And I still have no clue what I’m doing or how to do it. Obviously, this is a major procrastination tactic from doing the actual writing. What if I’m shit? What if it never goes anywhere and I write countless novels that are left unpublished??

An Open Letter To My Heroes
Dear Heroes of mine, Amid my blissful ignorance, I used to believe you were able to fly. I grew up thinking you could move objects with the power of your mind. I was sure you could throw spiderwebs and, why not, even energy balls around. I even thought you could predict the future.
